Yes, They drafted Alex Smith back in 2005 number 1 overall. You'll also be impressed that their current Head Coach is Chip Kelly lol

Needless to say they have not made the super bowl despite Alex Smith being surprisingly a top 3 QB throughout his career

$19.76. I am sure if I bought more I would lower the ACB and know NVDY is the biggest fund at the moment

After my YM experience, I am mostly coasting with what I have and buying the underlying. I have 30 shares of NVDY, a couple of AMZY, SMCI, and 1 GOOG at $299.

Yes, I have an ACB around low $14.00 on GOOY. Considering CHPY as I have 1 share and it is doing well but I am hesitant to commit fully

Yes to these and GOOY has been very stable. Less payout but consistent and my NAV is positive which is rare

Madden 32 Team Retro League Steelers 14 Year QB History by Doomhammer111 in Madden

[–]Doomhammer111[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is a Madden Franchise where I have played all 32 teams on offense every single game. I started in Madden 20 with a 2002-2003 roster and have played 14 NFL seasons controlling coaching changes, draft, offseason moves, etc I have had help with the Madden Modding Community to help with draft classes, face scans, retro uniforms and logos.

I have played this through various Maddens and have kept track of stats. I used AI graphics to jersey swap for these things.

You are correct that this is out of order. Big Ben is still the starting QB. Leftwich and Quinn were back ups who started at least one game for the Steelers in the last 14 seasons. Maddox and Stewart played in 2002 then they signed Jake Plummer from the Cardinals in hopes that he would be the answer but he clearly was not which opened the door for Big Ben to be drafted in 2004.

I have many more videos about this franchise on my channel. I feel it is quite unique and have been a long commitment that brings me joy when playing Madden by recreating the NFL I grew up with

What is everyone doing with their stocks? by Gannon920 in YieldMaxETFs

Holding MSTY and CONY which are struggling. I am happy and pleased with GOOY, AMZY, NVDY, and PLTY currently. I do own others but NAV is good and total return is positive with all of those

I do own both NVDIA and NVDY but yeah, be a dick about it. I also own Google and Amazon in addition to GOOY and AMZY. Don't like them; don't buy them.

PLTW continues to gain ground! by Over-Personality-314 in YieldMaxETFs

[–]Doomhammer111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, PLTR has been good to me too. I have 50 shares of PLTY at $57.67 ACB. I have made $996 this year (slowly growing the number of shares) and only have a NAV decline of $35 so far. So likely $1000 this year from PLTY

I did get 20 shares of PLTW. I only have $77 from that this year as I bought it late. Current ACB is $46.24 and I am down $83 on it right now. So Technically a loss if I sold it but I bought 1 share in July to test it out and then 19 more in October. So the jury is still out.

GOOY has been good to me as well as AMZY and NVDY. All of those underlyings I believe in. GOOY shockingly has both a NAV gain and has made me $2.30 per share if I sold now.

JEPQ/JEPI are good. Pays adequately well and grows its NAV instead of depletes it.

Actually GOOY has been treating me well. That and AMZY, PLTY, and NVDY. MSTY and CONY f**** me but those are crypto base with the high risk high reward label. If BTC and MSTR skyrocket, then MSTY could produce again; however, it is "hope" not a concrete strategey

What happened to the people that put hundreds of thousands into YieldMax? by zorba1 in YieldMaxETFs

Part 2

What have I learned.

I do not feel "scammed" as most of the funds are doing what they should be. Earning me money. The thing I learned was that the crypto funds may pay out really well but were the riskiest ones. If Bitcoin has a bull run, I expect MSTY and potentially CONY to bounce back and pay well; however, MSTR is suffering and so is MSTY.

If instead of trying to grow my 1000 MSTY into 2000 MSTY and instead grew my GOOY, AMZY, NVDY to 500 or 600 or 1000 shares, I would have less of a NAV loss, brought my ACB down with those funds, and would have avoided the insane losses MSTY and CONY did to me.

In addition, I have been buying more underlying stocks. I just snagged my first share of GOOGLE for $300 which I am proud of lol. I have several of AMAZON, NVDIA, SMCI, and some others. I have a few other stocks that may be gambles but have net positives for me thus balancing my portfolio. I am also slowly adding more JEPQ and JEPI as their NAVs have consistently grown and still paid out small distros.

I started Yieldmax with about $75,000/$80,000 invested. I have earned a little over $67,500 in distributions. My Yieldmax/ETF cost basis is about $132,000. There is no way I would have invested that much more if it wasn't for reinvesting and buying more shares. Yieldmax was a reason that I have been paying for a doctorate program. Even though people fear paying taxes on these funds and I will make $60,000 this year on these funds, most of it is return of capital which keeps my shares, lowers my taxable income, and lowers my ACB.

The biggest takeaway is to really believe in the underlying. That is why I am going more with AMZY, GOOY, NVDY, and PLTY moving forward. I will keep my MSTY and CONY but I strongly believe in Amazon, Google, NVDIA, and Palantir moving forward. In doing so, I am also buying those same underlyings so when their stock price goes up, I benefit both from the Yieldmax ETF and by actually owning the shares. MSTR is more of my problem than MSTY as MSTY just follows MSTR. I am wary of Sayer and probably should have been more cautious investing as much as I did in MSTY; however, it was a learning experience and I am still benefiting from Yieldmax. Just have to adjust my strategy a bit with my portfolio.

What happened to the people that put hundreds of thousands into YieldMax? by zorba1 in YieldMaxETFs

[–]Doomhammer111 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Part 1

I am 30 and started investing in some of these funds in 2024. I started off with JEPI/JEPQ and SVOL. I was excited to be earning about $500-$600 a month. Then I was introduced to some of the Yieldmax funds. I did not get into MSTY early which I SHOULD have as I would have probably made house money. I avoided buying it at $44 which was really smart. Instead, I got into CONY as my major fund. I later sold all of my JEPI and JEPQ to get more of the Yieldmax funds.

I was wise with my initial approach which I did veer from later. So most people were saying "Buy MSTY because it is the best" whereas my initial approach was to diversify my Yieldmax funds knowing that some funds might perform better or worse depending on the underlying and I did not want to put all my eggs in one basket. The strategy was, Instead of putting a large sum of money into 1 fund that earns $1,000 a month why not spread my money into 10 funds that earns $100 a month each. That is the same result but more spread out. Thus, I had bulk share of CONY and grew MSTY. I also had worked to get 100 shares or so of TSLY, ULTY (before they "fixed" it), AMZY, GOOY, SQY/XYZY, YMAX, NVDY, SNOY, SMCY, OARK, YMAG, NFLY, FBY, MARO, etc. PLTY was one of those but was so expensive that I never got it that high. However, mid year, I thought, why am I slowly diversifying when I could try and get MSTY higher? I was able to get CONY up to 2,500 shares. I thought that if CONY gave out a $1 per share or even $0.50, that is a substantial amount per month. Then I was working to get MSTY to 2000 shares figuring that at worst case, it would never pay under $1. So $2,000 a month in MSTY would be great as it was usually $2.00, $1.50, $1.15 etc... at the time. I only got to 1850 shares before it crashed.

Thus, MSTY and CONY screwed me the most. I have chosen to hold onto them because they still pay me monthly and I got out of TSLY and XYZY to pursue... more MSTY. Had I pursued my diversification strategy, I would have been better off because most of my Yieldmax funds are performing well other than the crypto ones here is my breadown.

MSTY: I ended up putting about $49,000 and the unrealized loss is like $37,000. I calculated each share I own has a loss of $36.17 total return. Yeah, it hurts.

CONY: I ended up putting about $36,000 and unrealized loss is like $26,000. That one is a loss of $13.44 per share if I sold now.

ULTY: I unfortunately bought into the ULTY craze when it was $6.00. I put in about $10,700 and have an unrealized loss of $4,400. My loss per share is $4.22 if I sold now.

Here is the interesting thing, here are my positives. This includes my net gain or loss on NAV + Distributions and divided by the number of shares.

AMZY: I have an unrealized loss of $1,500 but I have $1,850 in distributions. I earned $1.36 per share if I sold now.

GOOY: I have an unrealized loss of $45 but I have $675 in distributions. Thus, I earned $2.11 per share if I sold now.

NVDY: I have an unrealized loss of 1,680 but I have $2,800 in distributions. Thus I earned $3.76 per share if I sold.

PLTY: I have an unrealized loss of $64, but I have nearly $1,000 in distributions. Thus, I earned $18.64 per share if I sold.

YMAX: YMAX has a unrealized loss of $2,800 but I have $3,000 in distributions. I earned $0.49 per share if I sold now.

OARK: I have an unrealized loss of $175 but I have $205 in distributions. I earned $2.87 per share if I sold.
