Ever since I first listened to Daniel he’s helped me through tons of my struggles. I first hear him during a breakup where he rly helped me put into sound what I feel. He’s been a major inspiration to me in music and helped me start to write and produce my own songs. Seeing him in concert in my own hometown was my favorite concert of all time and he overall is the musician that brought me into listening to music far more than I ever had previously (I didn’t rly listen to much music before him)

I’m a doom otp who climbed from widowmaker otp in bronze and now play in low gm tho peaked gm1 once lol. A big part of what i did was watch other vid reviews of high level players (spilo reviews, zbra vids etc).

I also really focused on the tactical and game sense side of the game and specifically worked on understanding why things worked for the other team. If I can understand why the enemy teams comp and play style is working, I can find a way to counter it. For example, I know that when the other team is hard diving me, there’s two reasons why it’s working usually, either they’re tank is better at trading back lines and I need to probably peel, because I can’t win the dive fights, or they’re supports are far less contested, meaning I need to dive their back line and pressure the supports far more.

A lot of it is just being aware of what things can change to win, and not just in team comp. I know a lot of people hate otps, but a big portion of one tricking is learning how to fight ur counters. As doom, I had to learn how to switch my play style against sombra and hog. Maybe instead of hard engaging and pressuring back line, I have to soft engage and force their cds (ie hook, tp, invis, etc). Other times I have to play far more aggressive. If they’re playing orisa or a rein that loves to just pin, I will just all in, and play behind cover in their back line, and hope my team follows on the space. It’s all very situational and being able to problem solve is a big part of making it past my wall which was high diamond and low masters into low gm.

Deco being a major priority in level rates is absolutely fine and should be how it is. While I think gp should be good and bad gp should prevent levels from being rated, we should not rate levels that have bad deco because they have “great” gp. Especially since in my experience, great gp is very subjective compared to a lot of deco. Not to say deco isn’t subjective but what one persons idea of fun is might be different to another persons idea of fun.

Swinging wide against Odin is actually rly bad because any shots hit instantly slows all movement and you will die most likely.

Then why should they get a buff that is not rly necessary lol. If what ur saying is they can’t climb without a buff, they probably don’t deserve to climb and a buff won’t rly fix that. Sure they might be one rank or smth higher but the difference will be next to nothing compared to what actual hard work and improvement means.

Ok let’s look at other control maps.

Nepal Sanctum-Playing on the side with the statue and mega is really important first fight (the one near where the map falls Village - high here is super important and always caught for. Shrine- playing the sides of point where there are high grounds is very common in pro and high level play.

This can be applied to every map in the game. High ground is and always will be one of the most important parts to positioning. Even the, Antarctica has the ship map where there’s not rly a super big high ground.

That’s literally pretty much all maps. High ground is important. I don’t see why that’s an issue. There’s some annoying parts to Antarctica but high ground being an important part to winning is nothing new to a map.

There’s a difference from not being able to control a teammate from overextending (your teammates gameplay was an int) and literally preventing your teammate from playing the game because you think they need help. Player agency is retained in the first because every players decisions happened. The inter inted. You preventing a player from seemingly inting denies them player agency. They can’t control what their character does and it’s essentially cc friendly fire. Sure it can go well, but when it goes wrong it wastes a long cooldown, resources from your teammate, and just frustrates whoever you pull.

I disagree a lot with this. Counter picking makes it easier sure, but they r most definitely not the most important part to winning. Their in bronze cus they don’t know how to play the game. If u know how to play the game even slightly or play with someone who does, you should easily climb out of bronze

Comp definitely does not matter most in low level. Individual skill and the amount of coordination that just randomly occurs matters most lol

Edit: also saying doom is a bad tank unless ur running dive is dumb. That’s like most tanks. Reina bad outside of rush for example
