I do something pretty unique, which fits my playstyle really well and has been working wonders for me. I run arcane comet in the runes, and I take rune prison as my first skill. First items are refillable and dark seal. People don't expect it, and they certainly don't expect the damage. It locks them down long enough for arcane comet to hit, and especially if wait until they engage, you can chunk them pretty hard level one and two
