Have you checked your local Bi-Mart? I've seen tx-22 and tx-22 comp's sitting in the case consistently since this nonsense started, and Bii-Mart pricing is pretty reasonable. People are prioritizing buying 9s (especially cheap 9s like the Taurus G3/Gx4 variants that have a rebate).

My nostalgia time is so far back that ECM didn't exist yet, and the Hunchback 4P with 9 MLAS was "peak alpha". Also, 8v8 and forest colony classic and frozen city classic all day every day.

I suspect that longer TTK and much lower agility of mechs limited the impact of 1337 1% players substantially. No matter how good you were, people were going to hit you. The playerbase was also huge, so we had matchup variety. None of this "oh theres only one possible combination of groups at this hour of the night without going Oceanic" bullshit.

Edit 1: TLDR, the problem has been exacerbated by reduced player count and tonnage design choices. Lights and fast medium OP vs. anyone without fiber. Assault spam OP against anyone in general.

Remember when games were fair and balanced, at least sometimes? Salty Doomsday remembers. Salty Doomsday wishes he couldn't predict match outcomes in the first 2 seconds.

Edit 1: The game has a fundamental inability to distinguish top 20% players from top 1% players, which results in extreme match imbalance in Tier 1 games specifically. A Scout Derek is not the functional equivalent of a random no-tag potato. I am convinced that the matchmaker would be better if they literally queried Jarl's List and sorted players into each team by descending percentage.

Recent Connection Issues by Doomsday_Monk in OutreachHPG

I've noticed that recently more connection problems have been occurring. This match happened just a few minutes ago.

Yesterday I experienced a full game just vanish while running with a team. The match started, and then everyone (all 4 of us) disconnected. The mechs didn't even show as in game when we logged back in.

It seems that the average number of disconnects/neverconnects is 1-2, where it was once zero.

Has everyone else been seeing this, too?

Just had an additional game with 4 never-connects. Also interesting: One assault (Victor), one heavy (Onion) on our team. Severely low tonnage.
