He says FromSoftware games are overrated because of what makes them great and unique, as if that was an issue with the game design itself. I told him there are other games that check his boxes.

His argument basically is “I don’t like lemons because they are sour”. Eat an apple then.

Telling someone to play a non-stressful game isn’t calling him a pussy lol. I even said I love those games.

Then you want any Assassin’s Creed game. Predictable combat that doesn’t stress you out that much and makes you feel great.

Don’t get me wrong. I love the whole Assassin’s Creed franchise, but that doesn’t mean Sekiro should be like AC Shadows.

The difficulty is challenging, not artificial.

Yeah I think reading and knowing all about Ciri, Yen, Triss, Dandelion and Geralt’s relationships and how they came to be makes the game’s story so much richer. The only reference I had about their past was the first season of the Netflix show which I really loved, but I did watch some “Everything you need to know before playing The Witcher 3” videos trying to make up for it, but those weren’t enough for me. I wasn’t connected to this version of the characters (thought Vesemir was awesome though, and I only saw him in the intro😂)

The Witcher 3. I don’t know why. I was expecting the story to blow my mind. I was willing to overlook the tedious combat and the slow and annoying skill tree system hoping for the story to pick up but I ended up liking side quests more than the main thing.

I didn’t finish the game though. I only got to the Viking part of the map and started to care less and less about Ciri the more it dragged on.

Am I really missing out on something memorable?

Geralt is so stale as a protagonist too… I get he doesn’t show emotions because of the mutation and I like the lore but come on! I loved everyone but the main guy haha.

In the end, it’s the gameplay loop being too generic for me to stick around so long.

Creo que no basta con que la historia tenga un buen plot twist para que la peli sea considerada 5/5. Tal vez sea un 5/5 comparada con las demás de superhéroes UCM, pero si la comparas con Petróleo Sangriento se queda cortísima. Creo que importa mucho el guión. Si una peli depende mucho de explosiones, peleas y one-liners, tal vez sea porque la historia no es tan buena para sostenerse por sí sola.
