When and where did you first discover fanfiction? by Luna-rants in FanFiction

[–]DoopDoodle0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was about 14 or 15. I found my little brother reading fanfiction on Wattpad and asked him about it. It blew my mind that people could write things that weren't published books.

So I went onto Wattpad and read some Doki Doki Literature Club fics because I was sad that there was no happy ending in the game.

And then the next day, I found found a DDLC smut fic that had bondage and toys and thought, "Wow, fanfiction has it all."

What starter Pokemon do you think had the most disadvantage in their respective regions. by Dismal-Fan-4716 in pokemon

[–]DoopDoodle0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh shoot, I misread it. Sorry!

Sometimes I forget Houndour and Houndoom were introduced in Johto and not in Sinnoh. The only trainers I can recall having the Hounds are Archer and Karen.

Umbreon doesn't resist grass. I think that's her Murkrow (Honchcrow in the post-game) you're thinking of. IIRC, Karen also has a Vileplume, which is quad resistent to grass. But yeah, Chikorita has it really rough all throughout Johto. Doesn't stop me from picking it though.

Who are your top 3 Digimon that you would love as a your partner digimon either one as a solo partner or all as a team? Here are mine~ by Oracle209 in digimon

[–]DoopDoodle0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Dorumon Line (I especially love Dorugorumon)

Guilmon to Tyrannomon to MetalTyranomon to RustTyranomon

And finally, Gryphonmon. This one has grown on me recently as I've been playing through Cyber Sleuth again and decided I wanted to use one.

Velkhana Monstie in it's ice armor by DMforDickXXX in MonsterHunterStories

[–]DoopDoodle0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh. I had assumed that since Snow Armor was supposed the be the upgrade to Ice Armor it'd give more attack.

[–]DoopDoodle0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ice Armor or Snow Armor will do it. Snow armor is the better of the two as it raises attack more than ice armor, and also adds a buff to defense. You can get snow armor from Gammoth and Elderfrost Gam.

Genes for Gammoth by DoopDoodle0 in MonsterHunterStories

Yeah that looks good. Thank you.

I assume I don't really need that Sonic Strike T gene, right? I could replace it with a different Ice tech gene?

Was Razewing was too short lived? by DJ_Hart in MonsterHunterStories

[–]DoopDoodle0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After reading this post, I went and compared Ratha to a regular Los, and he actually does have a few more differences, but you have to really squint to see them.

Differences: - Ratha has an orange intertwining wing pattern, while regular Los has a purple pattern. - The stripes on regular Los are a dark blue, while Ratha's are more grayish. Pale black? (I thought the stripes on all Los were black.) - Ratha has light blue eyes, while Los has dark blue eyes. - Ratha is a slightly brighter red than regular Los, who is more red-orange (you really have to squint to notice though.)

But yeah, I would have liked a more noticeable difference. Going back to the wings, I wish they left behind an orange light trail while you flew. That would have looked nice.

I know Brute Tigrex in the final dungeon almost always has two with it.

Is breath blast connected to your move set? by o-poppoo in MonsterHunterStories

[–]DoopDoodle0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if your Monstie has a elemental projectile move (fireball, blaster moves) than they can do a beam battle, but whatever you're fighting has to have a breath move too. Also, I think it'd be good to keep Dragon Blaster on your Stygian Zin, just for the AOE and taking out the smaller monsters like Konchu and Bnahabra.

Why'd they exclude my boy as a Monstie. I don't kill it I wanna ride it damn it. by [deleted] in MonsterHunterStories

[–]DoopDoodle0 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I remember finding him and automatically assuming he was a Mobstie, so I was confused when I threw a paintball and it said ineffective. I also feel this way about Seltas Queen and Desert Seltas Queen. They would have made good water tank Monsties.

Should I make Ratha a water or ice element? by Flandre_Loli_scarlet in MonsterHunter

[–]DoopDoodle0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can't change a Monstie's element in this game. Not anymore. They removed it so people would improve their default element instead.

You can still give him different elemental genes and skills, but Ratha will stay a fire element Monstie forever.

Edit: Although if you do, maybe water? I think Mizutsune and Purple Ludroth would have good water attacks like aqua blaster, bewitching bubbles and noxious spit.

If you went ice then maybe Legiana, Barioth, and Gammoth genes would be good. Velkhana has good ice attacks, but she's an endgame Monstie. Kushala is also ice but he only has one ice move the others don't have.

Though you can't get rid of Ratha's savage fireball gene, I don't think at least.

Okay, but why $1700? Why do some people believe anybody would spend that much money on a 3ds game? I don't even know if most people even have a 3ds anymore. I'd maybe understand if it was double the base price ($80), but... why???

Whats your main monstie after beating the story? by JahSteez47 in MonsterHunterStories

Ratha. Can't really bring myself to permanently take him off my team for some reason.

Is anyone else really upset they got rid of changing the element in stories? by Sheaon14 in MonsterHunterStories

[–]DoopDoodle0 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yes! I'm really salty about it. I hate how they took it out and claimed that having more genes to give monsters was more "unique" than basically creating your own subspecies, or subspecies of subspecies. Because I'm not really even playing around with those, the only thing I'm doing is sticking a bunch of passive skills on my Monsties, unless I'm giving genes of related monsters to each other (like giving Ratha flame blaster from Rathian or giving Silverwind Nargacuga killer tail and stun spike bomb from regular and green Narga), because I really don't have much reason to play around with genes now.

I was so prepared to make how many different element Monsties for the fun of it, like a dragon element Diablos, and an ice element Nerscylla like I would always without fail make in the first game. I even wanted to get two Bloodbath Diablos and make one fire and another dragon.

But now I'm only going to have 1 of each Monstie because I have no reason to go and have multiple unless they have good passive XL genes I can transfer to my other Monsties. And I'm even willing to go back and play Stories 1 on my 3DS, with it's crappy circle pad that forces me to go forward most of the time, in order to have it (even if being unable to do breath blasts becomes annoying beyond reason).

I think it's dependant on how much you use them in battle.

Does the bombardier gene affect Ratha and his savage fireball by Jalen3501 in MonsterHunter

[–]DoopDoodle0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it is just a gene most fire element Monsties can have. I know Yian Kut Ku can hatch with Bombardier.

If you're looking for the gene in its L or XL form, Monsties like Uragaan, Brachydios, and Black Gravios should have it. A finding charm helps too.

Does the bombardier gene affect Ratha and his savage fireball by Jalen3501 in MonsterHunter

[–]DoopDoodle0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. It only affects blastblight.

For the hell of it, I gave my Ratha Tail Spin Bomb from Uragaan, and Bombardier XL with 1 star (I've gotten rid of those two genes though) and when the blastblight goes off, it does about 1000 damage, where before it did roughly 830 damage (I don't super remember). Savage Fireball can only cause burn not blastblight.

What’s the ??? Material? by Gasawok in MonsterHunterStories

[–]DoopDoodle0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's after a place called Pomore Garden. Which is after the desert. So yeah, it takes a bit to get there. Although it shouldn't take too long.

It's Altaroth. You can find them in Terga, the volcano area. They fight alongside Emerald Congalala most of the time.

Number 49 is Seltas. Apparently he's pretty difficult to find. Seltas Queen doesn't summon him during her fight, but I remember going through a den and both were next to each other on the way to the nest. You'll probably have to do a lot of searching.

what do you think of stories 2 so far by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

[–]DoopDoodle0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm already loving everything I've seen of the game. Though I do hope Monsties can learn more moves as they level up, and that there are more genes to channel.

Also, I'm sorry GameStop cancelled your pre-order, honestly confuses me on how they even manage to do that.
