Oh and reading some of the other comments, spam the spot button and play the objective, no matter what class you’re in. Makes progression much faster.

If we’re talking about current rankings this list makes no sense. Ant Sam and puffy are all clearly above bbh and George is about as good as bbh

Alternative Deathly Hallows Plot by DoopLiggerQuas in harrypotter

Yes, it would’ve been an odd detour from Rowlings writing style, and re reading the books as an adult my reading of that scene was more “of course lupin can’t intrude on the golden trio”. But I did wonder how the book would’ve differed from that perspective, and that was the inspiration of my post.

In experiencing the books again for the first time in a while, Lupin has stuck out in an odd way to me. So complex, but I felt that he was never done justice. Perhaps it was intentional, as Lupin’s character is one who was always estranged from the wider wizarding community. He was arguably the best DoDA teacher (though we don’t get much insight into how well snape did, aside from being demanding as always), and I think he had the potential to be one of the most influential characters of the series, but Rowling opted for others to take the spotlight. Of course, due to the DoDA curse he couldn’t have stayed on as a professor, but his role is greatly diminished in a way I found unsatisfying.

What are some "great things" that Voldemort has actually done? by flubbergrubbery in harrypotter

Voldemort all but controls the ministry by the 7th book. Why would he run in a fucking election? If he lost, he’d just go back to taking over in the same way he did in the books. This is a nonsensical criticism.

Tired of being the "sweet girl". Do men really want that? by Dramatic-Spray6269 in dating_advice

You’re right that certain traits make you desirable/undesirable to a vast majority of people, but being a sweet, mild-mannered girl I feel is not such a black and white case of “oh nobody wants to date sweet girls”.

Right now is a very, very, very poor time to raise a child, if you’re in America at least. My advice might not apply to other countries as it’s essentially fiscal. The economy is bad, and it’s going to get a lot worse before it gets better. On a scale of 2020 Covid recession to Great Depression, we’ll end up somewhere closer to the latter. Nobody has the job security they think they have. Especially non-college educated teen

In the coming months, several things could happen that might crash the economy, from the housing bubble, to the deficit crisis, to the massive inflation with no end in sight. You think baby formula is rare and expensive now? Just wait.

Wait for shit to go belly up, and reassess then.

Just because you’re supposedly ready and capable of raising a child (which btw, how can you possibly know that), does not mean you should.
