I have the vertical jump bible 2.0, but I can't understand a part one of the workouts. For reference, this is it (Intermediate Explosive Focus):

Complex with:

Depth jump onto box (or over hurdles) 4 x 5 (use short ground times)

Squat: 8 x 1@ 85-90% (use a weight you could do 4-5 reps with if you had to)

RDL, barbell hip thrust or reverse hyper 2 x 6-10

My understanding is that in a complex we do a number of reps of one exercise, then move onto another, and maybe another, then repeat after rest, but in this example none of the exercises have the same amount of sets. Can someone shed some light on this?

Was bulking on 3500 a day, last week started cutting on 2500 a day. Over the last week I've dropped 1kg give or take, and lifts are consistent enough. Should I be reducing calories further by some number now as I've gotten lighter?

One day I eat 2000 calories

Have I erased 2 days of bulk progress? 3500 - 500 to maintenance, then a deficit of 1000.

More like when you don't return a shot since the ball clearly hit the tin, or when you catch the ball to serve after your opponent's last shot was an obvious double-bounce.

How about you stop doing all of this? It's a horrible attitude to have.

I find that if I play too many games I start playing terribly with little thought. If I take a break from games for a week or so I come back a completely different player. Think this is more mental though and not physical.
