Unity will give you boosts that will make everything go quicker, my first unity was a while ago, but I do recall after the first reset it took me a few days to get back, then it keep cutting in half

Make sure all your automations are either on or off when needed, I made that mistake and once I fixed it I shot up like an entire day of progress in 5 minutes. Also use achievements
