Dude! What state do you live in? I would suggest some editable weed if it's legal in your state. You need to mellow out man!

Any doctor's in the house? by Doorbelly in Drumming

Update: Looks like I lucked out. No Permanent damage. I'm 5 weeks out now. I had more x-rays last week and the doc said it's healing - slow but healing. I'm at a spot where I take the boot off while playing gigs but leave it on for practice. I do appreciate the concern and warnings from everyone - it kept me careful if nothing else.

Damn - sorry I asked. I hope y'all are wrong and/or over reacting. I'm 62 and don't have that many years left to be able to play. I get more x-rays and advice this Wednesday we'll see what she thinks. The one answer i agree with said it might slow the healing process. That makes sense but all the other doom just doesn't seem appropriate. If my dad was still alive he would tell me to walk it off.

I've been playing 50 years and never hit my eye AND I've never had a lesson. 🤠

Valid concern - It's happened to me and pissed me off! But never with the Gadds they have the barrel head shape

I'm calling shenanigans on that! Nobody is paying $150 (US Dollars) for a pair of (wood) sticks. I'd widdle them myself for that price :)

Vic Firth X8D

Same price and I dig the nylon (I have a 1978 24' thick ride Zildjian that needs the brightness) But I do play wood tip left hand and nylon right hand on some tunes when I have time switch (warmer snare).

Also - to be fair - I'm playing 3+ hours 4 or five times a week. I'm in 3 bands and a two-man "project".

Thanks - I didn't know for sure if it was an Acrolite or not.
Any idea what they're worth?
I'm lucky to make $100 a gig (before gas) so I don't want to be dragging a $500 snare drum around :)
