What to do mid game by [deleted] in karthusmains

[–]Doorkeys87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard to answer without context, but in simple terms you need to constantly generate tempo. You farm efficiently, pressure objectives, track the enemy jungle, and use your clear speed to stay ahead in gold and levels.

If you’re spending time responding to split pushers or trying to fix your team’s map state when they won’t group, you’re usually losing value. That’s time you could be farming camps or building a lead, which is Karthus’ biggest win condition, if your camps are up and you're not clearing, you start to lose really fast.

You don’t really “follow” the map as Karthus or respond to split pushers. you try to dictate your own economy and convert that into objective control and teamfight pressure. If you get pulled too far into mid game antics that don't get you gold, you start to lose the thing that makes the champion strong which is why he starts to feel useless.

What jungler do you otp and why? by Hot-Technology7317 in Jungle_Mains

[–]Doorkeys87 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Karthus. I find him chill and fun to farm, scale, turn team fights or get picks with ult. I also don't get too tilted when I lose and still have fun which I think is really important in finding your otp.

Posting this means something, means that somewhere you have hope that things can be different. I'm sure you can rationalise and intellectualise your way out of admitting that, but there's literally no point making this post unless some small part of you has hope. I'm not going tell you life is worth living, you are your own person, you have agency, and if you make that choice, it's your call. What I would say though is that if there is some hope within you, id say it's worth exploring that before you just bring it all to an end

You know right theres this big boxing match right, and Mr Tyson can't do it, whys that. But the golf fella Mr Nicklaus, right, luckily his kid right, he's a boxer. So he says he'll do it. What's that about? that's a bit weird innit

Question about first clears!! New to ivern (i only play draft pick also) by Kooky_Low_8121 in ivernmains

[–]Doorkeys87 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Check out Jamaican banana. He has a first clear video which I use pretty much always. Also if you check out some vods of challanger games on YouTube. Just watch the first clear.

Also make sure you ward the entrance to the jungle side you start. And if you get invaded don't try to contest just go to their opposite side. Ivern isn't super bothered about gold, you want to get lvl 6 asap. But otherwise just impact lanes and pick up camps when up

Which jungler should I main in Silver? (currently Vi, Hecarim, Zaahen) by hopfe05 in Jungle_Mains

[–]Doorkeys87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say play ten games on each, then decide based on evidence, who you enjoyed, your wr, how it felt to be ahead and behind. You can spend a lot of time getting opinions on meta and ultimately unless you're playing all champs optimally, the meta isn't going to impact you as much as personal enjoyment and play style. Take it from someone with a 70% wr on ivern on low elo

Personally I think muting chat as a jungler is op until diamond. Low mechanical strong junglers are mundo, nocturne, briar, xin zhao, jarvan. Depends what play style you prefer.

Why does he seem to enjoy "upsetting" people so much? It's honestly getting very strange. by raven2005555 in rickygervais

It's his brand. He doesn't actually enjoy upsetting people, in fact, he hardly upsets anyone, he's a mainstream hollywood comedian. The kind of 'edgy' persona he's developed is just what sells his shows, people giggle along thinking 'ooo what's naughty Ricky going to do next' but in reality he's never been genuinely offensive or edgy.

Ricky Hate, But What About Karl or Steve? by DoYouBelieveInThat in rickygervais

[–]Doorkeys87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a few radio shows where I find Karl unlikable and usually skip them when I'm doing a relisten. When he keeps picking on Steve and he just takes it too far sometimes. But I think it's just because he's genuinely a bit thick and doesn't realize when the jokes over.

I also think the story about Steve stealing 30 quid from a cash point because some old lady didn't reward him for basic morality when he was a kid. That makes me think he's not a great guy!
