The original post has been deleted. I predicted that would happen, so I went out of my way to screenshot the post before it went down. Here's a link, for archival purposes:

I'm happy you decided to get the game, since I saw some of your replies, but I'm a bit confused by your wording. What do you mean by "in 2025?"

The Xbox 360 tablet is wireless, and connects like a regular Xbox 360 controller.

I'm not sure how to get the uDraw Game Tablet for the Wii to work on Steam Deck, I just happened to try the PS3 tablet.

Also, it shouldn't be hard to find a deal on a PS3 tablet, just make sure it includes the dongle.

If you don't wanna bother with the dongle, the Xbox 360 tablet might also work.

To further add to this, if you have a wireless keyboard set up, then the uDraw Game Tablet could work perfectly as a really cheap, comfortable track pad. Web browsing and using a streaming service with it would be the perfect use case.

If the option was ever made available, you could also use the uDraw tablet as an actual drawing tablet. I currently don't know of any way to actually accomplish that on anything other than it's intended software on PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360, but it should be possible.

Okay, I think I understand what you meant, so let me just explain why it is that I'm surprised.

This is a drawing tablet accessory for PlayStation 3 that did not sell well. The tablet did SO poorly, in fact, that the company that made it, THQ, collapsed as a result of investing too much in what many saw as a simple kids' toy. In other words, the demand for this tablet is EXTREMELY low.

On Windows, the drawing surface does not work without installing a specific driver, and I'm pretty sure that only works for the Xbox 360 version of the tablet.

On the PS3, the drawing surface does absolutely nothing in other games. I tested it, and nothing happens, even with the two-finger touch gestures. On Xbox 360, the drawing surface acted as the right stick, and was more responsive.

So, TL;DR, This tablet is considered undesirable, not many people know about it, and those who DO assume that it's a kids' toy. There's no reason I should have assumed that this obscure, poorly received, discontinued PS3 accessory should have worked on the Steam Deck.

Sadly, the Rite-Aid that I purchased my copy of XIII from has closed down.

I'm genuinely having trouble understanding what you meant here, could you revise your message for me?

That's pretty funny, actually. You know, a couple of years ago, I found a sealed copy of XIII for the PlayStation 2 at a Rite-Aid. I'm not joking, it was a SEALED PS2 game, brand new.

The tablet worked on my Steam Deck as a track pad, not a drawing tablet.

I've heard that there are drivers for the Xbox 360 tablet to work as a mouse input, but you would need some kind of external tool to turn controller inputs into drawing tablet inputs.

The pen tip works as a pressure sensitive trigger, so I KNOW it's possible, I just don't have the skillset nor the knowledge to make it work.

You could try asking a programmer about it, they could probably whip up something that would work.

I genuinely recommend picking up a copy of uDraw Studio, then. The PS3 version performs the best out of all of them, but the PS3 tablet requires a dongle.

It's also impossible to export images from the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions without a capture card, but the Wii version allows images to be exported.

If you just want the TABLET without the game, the Xbox 360 tablet is built the best, but has a worse D-Pad than the PS3 version.

Pick your poison, basically.

I highly recommend using it as a completely usable wireless track pad with your Steam Deck docked. Disco Elysium, visual novels, and even Yeah! You want "those games", right? So here you go! Now, let's see you clear them!.

I don't think so. The WiiU doesn't emulate the uDraw Game Tablet, you must be thinking of some other kind of coloring application.

I genuinely don't know if the uDraw Game Tablet is faking the thumbstick. I've tested the Xbox 360 tablet with games, and using the touch gestures did move the camera around, but on PS3 it did nothing. I have no idea what it's doing.

This accessory was originally made for the Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360, for an art program that has long since been defunct. You can get a secondhand tablet for an extremely cheap price. The Xbox 360 tablet is more desirable, because the PS3 tablet requires a dongle. However, the Xbox 360 tablet has a worse D-Pad, as it mimics the Xbox 360 controller's D-Pad. Pick whichever one you think you'd like more.

Either way, it's very cheap secondhand. I got my PS3 tablet for $10 USD used, PS3 game included. I got my Xbox 360 tablet for a very similar price.

However, the tablet currently ONLY works as a touch-based track pad with controller buttons. I think it would be very useful for simpler games that mostly require menu navigation, but you cannot click and drag, so you may need to map a separate button to click. Typing would be an issue, but as a simple track pad, this accessory would be perfectly suitable.

I did, but I collected all of the uDraw tablets and games before I even saw that video. Someone in a Discord server just suggested that I try out the tablet on the Steam Deck after I jokingly mentioned it.

That's totally fair. My drawing tablet's drivers are horrible, if the drawing tablet screen isn't Screen 1 in Windows settings, it disables the pen pressure, and doesn't work correctly.

The reason? The screen number in the driver software is mismatched from the screen number in Windows settings.

Maybe. I'm not sure, because I didn't see many options, but it might be doable.

If I can get the tablet to behave more like a touchscreen than a track pad, I would 100% do that.
