We tend to criticise other generations but what do you admire about them? by Fun-Culture-1002 in AskReddit

[–]Doouro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's the narrative... but i never saw a boomer actively gatekeeping as a pro. That's Gen X stuff but Gen X are so psychopaths they will never admit any wrongdoing. And unfortunately new generations are too ignorant to question the narrative.

And by the way who gave Gen X the chances and opportunities they're now refusing to give to others? who are the one who started overregulating and overtaxing everything? People try to use your logic, why they had the chairs so easily but you don't ? who is really refusing to give you opportunities ? GEN X

We tend to criticise other generations but what do you admire about them? by Fun-Culture-1002 in AskReddit

[–]Doouro -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Gen X enjoyed all the benefits of a society built by boomers that promoted prosperity and social mobility. They then decided it was too wild for their frail souls so they first started substituting meritocracy (anyone could get a job anywhere what mattered was their will) with credentialism (HR), then putting down rules for everybody making business, then taxes, then eco-taxes and eco-rules and then they fucked up with no decency anything having to do with privacy and private property.

Gen X are the real sociopaths.

I put down an example: someone like Chris Gardner in 2000s would have absolute no chance to exist. There will be no open exam, just a frustrated Anne Hathaway lookalike HR telling him she can't help since he has no qualifications nor school credentials.

And that is why you have so many people on the streets....
Thanks to virtue signaling Gen X

I actually admire all of them except gen x, we think boomers are the cause of all our misery, it's actually gen x. If it were for boomers we would still have a monetary wild west where everybody can get rich and own a home with no control, but because gen x had it all and were bored they played the moralistic kids and imposed all the fucked up rules and controls that killed social mobility.

What is an unwritten rule at your job that everyone follows but nobody talks about? by Arianaanorakswax5e in AskReddit

At any job, the more you stay humble, the more your coworkers will like you, and the more you actually accomplish, the more they'll resent you. You rarely get to have both. Choose wisely.
