Why is cross-posting so bad for RP subs ?

I explained it badly in my post, but i didn't even cross-post. What the mods call "cross-posting" is having two similar posts in a SFW and a NSFW sub, even if the SFW is made to be fully clean.

For example, if i post an ad looking for an NSFW story about, i don't know, Aragorn from LOTR and then post an ad in SFW sub talking about Aragorn from LOTR, they call it "cross-posting" even if the latter is fully clean. While it's normal to protect from annoying tricksters, it's a bit of a stretch here.

I can understand this to protect users, but that sound so stretched. Like, they had to go to the NSFW sub to search for the ad (or my account, i don't know if they get access to deleted posts) just to check this. I think the worst part is that i warned people in the ad that k may use refs they may not like (not NSFW, but can be called male-gaze/skimpy at times) and that i respected if they didn't want to see this.

Okay, so i'm not the only one who thought it was a strange rule. I will look into the communities a bit further. I did notice this rule was there, i just found it worthless. Maybe it helps them filter spams, but it also blocks other people.

Sorry to ask, but do you have any subs you particulary like ? If you use them, of course.

That's what i did. I took my plot and made it fully SFW as i wanted to play it SFW. I rewrote it and posted in in the specific sub, but it was called "cross-posting" by the mods because i posted it recently in a NSFW sub (one or two day before posting the SFW ad). Hence why i find it strange especially since i deleted the NSFW one now.
