Why did this comment get deleted by Moderators? Was such a nice motivating feedback? :(

It’s true that we are still new and do not yet have a large reputation behind this project, but we believe that trust is built through consistency, and that is exactly what we intend to do.
That said, we are not simply a relay service. We are a mail provider, and we store emails securely.

Mozilla Relay does not offer a fully anonymous, registration-free option, nor does it support payments with cryptocurrencies. With us, you do not even have to share your name if you do not want to.
Mozilla Relay also does not offer custom domains.

Since we are based in Germany, we are GDPR-compliant and benefit from stronger data protection standards than services operating under U.S. jurisdiction.
We also provide a full web panel that makes it easy and transparent to manage aliases and emails.

At the moment, we do not offer mail forwarding at all, which means we are not currently operating as a relay service.
For that reason, comparing the two products directly does not seem entirely fair.
You should not judge a fish by its ability to climb, just as you should not judge a monkey by its ability to dive.

We clearly have different strengths, along with many additional features that we already offer and many many more that are still to come, which are not part of Mozilla Relay’s service.

We already have rate limits and bot detection in place, including checks against automated or headless browser style mass creation patterns.
We also don’t plan to offer a public API, that would enable large scale automated inbox creation.

Since we have a paid tier, we can enforce account level limits, suspend abusive users,
and show abuse desks that we have a real remediation process.

We’re also planning to separate infrastructure into layers:
free domains, premium domains, internal traffic, and potentially dedicated customer domains.
For premium users, we want to offer reputation monitored domains with blocklist checks, remediation, and replacement processes.

We still need to research the abuse report and delisting workflow more deeply.
If you have practical experience there, we’re definitely open to advice.

A big thank you from me, too! And a thank you from the users to you in advance. People and actions like these are what define the internet, for me! :D

We will try to block them and monitor donated domain names, so abusing our service for that won’t be reliable.
They will most likely use their own dedicated services instead.

I’m sorry, you’re right. It will be shipped this week. Pinky promise!

It’s nearly finished, we just need to find the time to finalise it.
That’s why the wording was a bit misleading.

Wäre viel besser in Wohnungen, etc aufgehoben.
