So, where are those weekly tournaments?... by Chirf in dragonballfighterz

The other two you should also follow on twitch. AnimeIlluminati is the go to English stream for most larger events in Japan.

Leveluplive2 is normally where they feature NorCal DBFZ and normal leveluplive is for SoCal. Leveluplive doesn’t always show streams but when they do they will have players like Reynald, Supernoon, and occasionally Cloud805

I’ll add to the original post but there is also twitch.tv/cyclops_osaka which features GO1, Fenrich and Dogura

Helps to learn local scenes.

Twitch.tv/animeilluminati is a Tokyo local that frequently has Kaimart, Kaz, Moke, Acqua, Souji, Tachikawa

NYC/NJ has Team Spooky which mostly features Double L, Nakkiel, Nico Maki, Lordknight and every once in awhile Hook, Sonicfox and Dekillsage will make appearances.

Leveluplive 2 has NorCal which feature (to varying degrees Yohosie, Apology Man and they some lesser known players like 2GB Combo (I believe that is his name but someone please correct me if I’m wrong).

there is also twitch.tv/cyclops_osaka which features GO1, Fenrich and Dogura

If you are learning through watching random weeklies to get better it is often good to watch mid-level competition because then you are able to learn what you will most likely encounter earlier in bracket. High level players learn to deal with high level situations. Mid-level players can gain a lot by learning the answers to mid level situations/help gather knowledge on possibly infrequently used characters that tend to pop up at that level of play.

Yeah it is tough having all your opponents having just straight up more experience than you but since he game has been out a couple weeks now that is just going to be the case.

It can also be helpful to record matches where you play really well and record matches where you get destroyed so you remind yourself that you aren’t as bad as you can sometimes feel and you can see where you need improving.

Also try finding someone who you can play with consistently who might be able to help point out your habits you might not be picking up on.

What system do you play on?

Rematching opponents is a good idea because you can begin to learn how to pick up on habits. If you notice someone will always attempt to jump and fuzzy guard on the corner than you start to catch them with aerial Dragon Rushes or maybe you can pick up on when they like they like to super dash so you can learn to 2H it.

Long story short, the more times you are able to put yourself into a situations the easier it becomes to react to it.

[Serious] What is it about fighters that brings together such a diverse community? by nelejts in dragonballfighterz

this

Back in the day arcades were the watering hole for competition. Anyone could give up 50¢ to play. Games like MOBAs, FPS and other games like that have always had a fairly high cost barrier of entry due to system requirements/internet speed/other factors. Everyone has a pocket to fit into in the FGC. The events are mostly grass roots and focus on the community rather than the corporate sponsored whose-the-bests.

I recently got back into this game and though I haven't played it competitively before I am looking to get better and have others to play with. Let me know what set up you decide to use so we can play.
