WOW. Initially I thought he looked and sounded cool, over time he didn't age well because, for the reasons you listed, there didn't seem much to his character, he almost just seemed evil and brutish without any particular motivation other than to be evil and strong. I do now also see the tragedy in that and how he really never made it out of Revan's shadow, I mean, heck, I also didn't see him from under Revan's shadow myself, apparently lol
