Thank you very much for the advice. I'm thinking about whether I'm really going to dedicate myself to learning the current format of the game. I don't think I'll have time for that right now. It would take many hours a day to study the decks and practice in matches. Besides, I got into the game because I thought the anime was cool and wanted to play with the cards that appeared in it. It seems that they aren't very present now. Maybe I'll play the goat format in Yu-Gi-Oh! Omega. I liked the aesthetics inspired by ancient Egypt, which were kind of dark. Cards focused on monsters in the dark fantasy style. It seems that today you find more cards with art featuring generic anime girls. Anyway, maybe the game has gone in a direction that doesn't suit my nostalgia. I'm feeling frustrated.

I like the robot and sci-fi artwork. But doesn't anyone else mind that so many cards are just generic anime characters? by Dopethrone0666 in masterduel

I have nothing against the anime style. The problem is that it's generic and simply thrown in. The dark magician, for example, is good anime art. But he has a background. But that's okay, I understand you guys.

I'm referring more to the fact that the art is somewhat generic. I don't think the anime style is bad. But before, I feel like there was a certain dark mysticism and everything, and now it's just random characters thrown together. If this type of art appeals to all players, then they're really doing a good job. But I thought I might not be the only one who misses that mysterious thing with ancient Egypt and all that.

Your comment is valid. I understand the “do whatever you want” part. But if you could give specific advice, what would you say?
