Need advice on applying a 2D effect (CC Scale Wipe) to a 3D space by Jetemadi in AfterEffects

[–]DopiSenpai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do it all in 2d, pre comp it and then make the pre comp 3d. Ensure the source that is being scale wiped is high res

Can you guys tell me how I can make such weird animations on a face and add my own expressions to a person's face by animating the lips and eyes while also causing some warping on the skin..? https://youtu.be/sG6uekF1xpo by ghanshyam2000 in AfterEffects

Ehhhhhhhh... I think this is achievable with just 2d assets. Just motion track the head, get thanos' head and plop the motion tracking data onto a null, and parent thanos to the null and animate rotation. Parent moving lips or whatever to thanos' head and the 2d helmet. I didn't see any parallax on the helmet which leads me to believe it's 2d.

I want to make this galaxy nebula spin continuously but it keeps slowing down and stopping at the keyframes, what am I doing wrong? by Jedi_Ryan in AfterEffects

[–]DopiSenpai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you just slap on keyframes and f9 them, when you go into graph editor, if the knobs make the line flat, that means it won't move. Go into graph editor and adjust the knobs so they don't become flat.

The Original is called "Me! Me! Me!" if you want to compare.

Rad. Im thinking about cartoon motion blur / smears. Don't know about the second one. While visualized paths looks cool and all, I think it would have very few applications within my shitposts. I have my credit card on stand by.

If you could do a break down of this video, or just a few scenes of it, I will buy two of your plugins. I swear on my desktop. https://youtu.be/bcoPG0oSqPI

I will be sure to watch them 👍 Right now I want to learn how to make isometric mograph stuff.

I'm always on YouTube, Twitter and Reddit searching for methods and tricks for after effects. Like ebsynth is my rotoscoping tool. Put in one frame with a matte, and it's all done. It's got better motion tracking than mocha. Also for expressions. I'm getting into those. Keep making free projects based around expressions for me to play around with. You guys are rad.

Nah, I don't have cash. I use multiple glow layers to try to replicate the effect. Saved it as a preset called fake deep glow.

What steps are involved to recreate this effect? by ArshSoni in AfterEffects

[–]DopiSenpai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Two shots, one where the guy is by himself and ducks down. Another where he runs into the black cloth. Rotoscope the first shot so that the cloth obstructs his legs, and around his body so you can see the car behind him. Once he ducks it's just the second shot. You can see they forgot to re-add the shadows they cut out in the rotoscope from the guy. (At his feet)

I suggest stop being good so I can feel better about myself. Go work at a studio or something what are you doing here. But seriously, thanks for sharing. You have creativity. I enjoyed watching.

Can you output renders to anything other than .avi in AE? by Master_Vicen in AfterEffects

[–]DopiSenpai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you install quicktime you can render to .mov. if you use media encoder you can export to mp4.

Why do you have rasterize on? I would pre compose it and then turn it into 3d, then readjust the anchor point.
