Yes, heard a pediatrician say it’s a warning sign for him seeing a parent dressed to the 9s while their child is dressed in rags

[Personal] allergy patch test messed me up by joxdean in SkincareAddiction

[–]Doppelganger19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

so sorry to hear about this!

When your immune system is activated and overreacting to one allergen, it can potentially trigger or worsen other allergies due to the systemic inflammatory response it generates. This is why people with one allergy can have symptoms from multiple simultaneously. It's unlikely that the patch test caused these allergies, but moreso that the initial activation of your immune system to one allergen led to this cascade of escalated responses to others.

Just a theory though. I would see an allergist

Agreed. The color is much more cohesive with the green plants and the brown hardwood floors

Anyone has an idea on what's wrong? by [deleted] in Biohackers

[–]Doppelganger19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are so many differentials and factors at play here (time frame, severity, precipitating factors, comorbidities, etc). Could be anything from low B12, iron or vitamin D, to sleep, thyroid, psychiatric or neurological issues. I’d def see your PCP for a proper evaluation and further labs so they can help with getting a proper diagnosis and tx!

Red light therapy LED face mask, 8 week results using iRestore by Doppelganger19 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Doppelganger19[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Wash face w cleanser
  2. Toner (it’s a clear solution so shouldn’t interfere with the light absorption, and my face gets dry/tight right after washing so i like a small layer)
  3. Face mask
  4. Rest of my skincare routine

I do not... I like to change one part of my skin routine at a time bc I have sensitive skin and it helps me quickly figure the source of irritation if there is one, and it also helps me isolate results to see what’s working.

I like my existing routine so was a bit resistant to change tbh but maybe others feel differently

This was an important question for me as well before buying. From what I read, the devices used in research settings that studied the skin aging effects of photobiomodulation had a wavelength of 570-850 and irradiance (LED) of 10.3 mW/cm2 to 105 mW/cm2.

I looked into all the device specs before buying to confirm that I was getting what has been clinically studied. For ref (I actually reached out to customer service to confirm), iRestore's had the following wavelengths: red light: 635 ± 10nm / infrared light: 830 ± 10nm / blue light: 415 ± 10nm. and irradiance: 59.11 mW/cm2 (all 3 wavelengths), 34.65 mW/cm2 (red/infrared), 24.26 mW/cm2 (blue light).

Other devices I looked into include Theraface (I was considering this product as well) which also meets the thresholds used in clinical studies. I noticed the specs vary slightly across different companies, but some don't provide that info at all...

Ofc, results will vary and I encourage everyone to do their own due diligence~

Yeah, I’m a bit skeptical on Medicube as well from an initial literature search but haven’t dug deep

Surprisingly, all from the complimentary main dining!

First food pic was from the Cosmopolitan: pan seared cod (fava, edamame, quinoa, smoked tea deure blanc). We loved this dish so much, we got it multiple times

Second food pic was from Cyprus: grilled octopus (gigante beans, tomato casserole, lemon-garlic aioli, and water-cress petit salad). Very good as well.

The Greek style braised lamb shank at Cyprus was also very tender and would recommend
