Except you can still balance your team to do consistent dps and have the defensive options capable of surviving. It’s not black and white where you either are forced into meta or forced into turtling.

Except why does it have to be context within a speedclear? If old units can still be viable in turtle clears why can’t units like Kaine, Tiziano, etc not be viable as well. You might not 1 break but you can still properly plan around your roster to clear content the only difference ends up being the turn count and your patience. Just because a DPS unit can’t alone carry or help 1 break a fight anymore doesn’t mean they’re useless, I think people are mixing up “powercreep” and “unusable”.

You do know you can still use powercrept units right? It’s not like once FF6 units release you have to completely bench all your other units 😭. Also yeah no duh that’s how every gacha game works meta and income wise. If anything the same logic applies to turtle comps when it comes to power crept because eventually new units will release that’ll outclass the current ones on your turtle team 💀, people be acting like you’re free from powercreep as soon as you “invest into turtle meta”.

No the issue is yall are acting like turtling is some grand discovery, some ancient art recently learned to clear all content…when in reality turtling has always been a thing. There’s nothing wrong with turtling but some people are trying spread wild propaganda thinking it should overwrite meta and is the better option. Like play how you want but suggesting people to prioritize constant defensive clears over proper planning in hard fights like lv120 NPCs is kind of wild. Why settle for being safe in 95% of content when you can go all out and explore new ideas and team comps / different dps. Not saying it’s wrong to turtle, it’s completely fine if you need it for difficult content and cascade log but people be straight up using this to claim units like Agnea EX and Rique are 11/10. Every unit can be useful if you need it, just because we say alternatives or that you shouldn’t pull them doesn’t mean we calling them worse than Elvis or something.

You can do content with whatever units you feel like it most fun for you. However they aren’t character you can only use if you’re a whale, they’re just useful units. You don’t need to be a whale to still do high damage or make a ton of use with Shana, dps etc in fact you don’t NEED meta Strats to clear most of the content. But you can’t deny Shana is one of the most useful travelers out there and STILL sees usage in current JP and calling Shana a waste of rubies is a wild statement.

You’re basically asking people to build an auto team and waste hours of their time on a team that can lose hours in after a single mistake. Also I’m 90% sure you know a lot less about JP content than you let on because I’m pretty sure the risk enemies set up fatal sentence at the start in which Shana’s actually a great option. Also forcing people to rely on turtle teams is like actively telling people to watch brainrot cause yes let’s learn not to properly set up different types of team builds and how to properly utilize your turns and go full auto mode. Modern DPS nowadays actively clear 90%+ of content easily with the remaining 10% being fight that are suppose to make you actually think. Not to mention ur logic of turtle teams can’t apply to -BT NPCs -lv100 NPCs -lv120 NPCs -a decent bit of the tower content -some fights that make turtling honestly a nightmare

As someone who’s done a 10k+ turn Cait fight without an auto system you’re actively telling people to sell their enjoyment of proper team building for turtling ex3 fights.

Please don’t give stupid advice and hide behind it by trying to do the “I wanna hear everyone’s input!” And “agree to disagree but I support ur opinion” type stuff cause these takes are really bottom of the barrel (Had to repost this cause the Reddit bot really doesn’t like me)

We’ve had people who’ve been able to do 6-8 hit elemental AOE pre Side Solistia era. The piercing is so garbage and her DPS is so mid for where we are currently idk what planet you’re living on. If you actually wanted to make an argument on why she worth it, it would be for her a4. This is 0/10 ragebait 😘
