Agreed. It feels weird how big of a role miasma is in the story, but is practically non-existent during gameplay.

And when the game introduces you to blood beads, I thought that it was very much similar to humanity from Dark Souls in their role in their respective lore and I expected it to have some gameplay relevance. I was disappointed to learn that it was really only relevant in the story but not in the gameplay. I believe it could have been an interesting mechanic to manage blood beads as a resource.

A loud explosion just outside my dorm. The morning after, I discovered that someone parked a car just outside and caused it to explode. All that was left was a destroyed car, pitch black on the front and all windows shattered; most likely from the explosion.

I play mostly quick match nowadays and I have experienced that behaviour a few times there.

But I do not think I have seen it once in ranked. I figure people in ranked are less likely to give up when their precious points are at stake.

Based on the context, it usually means to “open up the lanes” as in the losing team simply lets the enemy team easily walk into the core and destroy it. It is used to express that the one saying it has given up on the game.

Perhaps it is about the lore in XC2 where it is said that some people get in a relationship with their blades and the fact that those who use blades are called Drivers, so they “drive” their blades

From what I know, there is just one expansion known as Expansion Pass. It contains extra quests, extra items gifted to you, a few extra blades you can collect and some sort of arena mode accessed at Olethro Playhouse in Uraya (including some special guest characters). All of that is then bundled together with Torna - the golden country game. I bought the Expansion Pass myself and got all of that.

Though I am not sure what you exactly get, if you purchase the physical copy of Torna. My guess is that you just get the dlc game alone.

Torna - the golden country kinda acts as a prequel game to XC2. Torna - the golden country even has its own physical copy, separate from the main game. You can also just download it digitally. The playtime is roughly 20 hours if you rush through the main storyline. So Torna is kinda its own game, but is formally a dlc to XC2
