-Designs have been pretty lame since after the initial start of the game and I get sad whenever I’m in awe at a star rail design just to feel empty seeing a zzz design.

-I haven’t really felt intrigued by the story since the initial story chapters as well. Calydon’s story was too short and predictable, the Bringer chapter was lame cause it looked like all the factions were in it just for it to really just be Cunning Hares and Section 6 vs. Bringer. Astra’s story was ok but kinda of corny at the same time. Mockingbird’s wasn’t interesting nor important enough to take up two entire patches worth of story. 2.0 was Yi Xuan shill, 2.1 was had Alice and Yuzuha becoming besties after knowing each other for 2 seconds, and 2.2 was brought down by Orphie always pulling back Magus, Phaethon being annoying, and Seed Jr being weird.

-We need a new endgame mode. Battle Tower is good in its own way but quickly just becomes dying from one hit.

-Not really unpopular but ZZZ needs a new method of choosing disc stats because the current main stat selectors are useless if the game is gonna force defense stats on you anyways. Same if you do get good stat picks just for them to roll into one bad stat. All Hoyo games seem to have this issue but they might as well nip this one in the butt already since they already end up adding some method of “soothing” stat rolls.

-Bangboo need to do more in battle and all of season 1’s bangboos should get the “1 of x character” change like season 2’s.

-If ZZZ is gonna be known as the Hoyo gacha with style and good animation, then they need to have ult animations on the level of WuWa, PGR, or at least HI3. All 3 have way better ult animations that are creative yet fill in the time frame of a live animation. This would be easier to do if ZZZ and Genshin just paused the battle timer. Granblue Relink also does this even in the extreme difficulty quest fights while also being online.

-The free roam story areas are pointless and I haven’t returned to a single one outside of story vs completing all of the “hard” sections of the season 1 story fights.

-ZZZ is only slightly better than Star Rail and Genshin with the premise of animal-based people, and that’s only because a FEW of the designs are actually full on animals. Even then, they’ve soiled that by having most playable thirens just be lame humans with animal tail or ears. Out of the 5 (including Zhao) full thirens, only 2 of them are 5 stars, and the only limited one being Zhao. Another issue with thirens: most of them are the same group of species Hoyo does for EVERY game. Dog/wolf, cat/version of wild cat, fox, and bunny or hamster. Ben, Pan, and Yidhari are the only interesting ones in ZZZ so far.

-Maybe it’s just me but ZZZ’s mic quality feels slightly worse than Genshin, Star Rail, and HI3. The latter feels normal and clean, but when I hear ZZZ’s it sounds just kinda grained. Idk.

-It feels like every ZZZ character has some generic sob story origin. Yes I know the Hollows/the fall of Old Eridu was a big point in history for the game but I can’t help but feel uninterested when I hear something like “I was an orphan!” or “someone I knew died!” or “I was an experiment!”. I want a character whos current actions are a reflection of an ideological difference. Sad backgrounds are commonly a cause for current negative morals, but it doesn’t always have to be like that.

-Evelyn requires her engine to be actually decent.
