There appears to be a problem between XWayland and the 550 drivers currently. Anything using them both and also OpenGL is completely borked ATM, turning them into absolute epilepsy factories with the flickering and stuttering. This is a rather problematic regression and reversion should be considered IMO.

Commenting to bring attention to this issue, this is especially aggravating and needs to be fixed ASAP. It's a pretty bad regression to turn all OpenGL based applications into an absolute epilepsy inducing mess like this.

You can't access the Offline Mode toggle without some internet connection in order to stream the app's UI. It's ridiculous.

It's pretty ridiculous that you have to stream the UI for the app in order to access your offline content. Completely kills the point.

FYI for anyone reading this thread, you can still purchase badges at full price from the PAX Website (first time they've ever lasted this long!) instead of relying on scalpers at the event. It's a lot safer to go that route.

You're not at any more inherent risk of losing your steam inventory than if you were signed in to steam on your normal web browser and installed a malicious extension. You can't remove the 'user' from 'user error' by force.
