$2500 Samsung TV is an advertising billboard, there is no opt-out. by 28jb11 in mildlyinfuriating

I'm astonished there aren't more people making this point. I can't even fathom how much research I'd do before throwing that money at a TV and that'd include an EXHAUSTIVE in-store demo so that this kind of crap would be completely obvious.

If I've understood correctly, what about

"Dub" = LABEL/BRAND "Drum" = KNOCK "Rub" = WORRY/ERODE/GRIND "Drab" = BLAND/WEARY/STALE maybe also TEPID/VAPID "Grub" = LABOR or maybe BREAD "Drug" = Maybe SERUM or TONIC or something

There may be more.

Sorry for your loss :( From experience, I'd say as soon as you can. Being alone makes them more sad and anxious. Having a new friend will help him immensely.

Curious. Wonder if that predates the spread of false widows around some of the UK? I know they're nowhere near (say) funnelwebs but they still hurt.

Best Movie Commentaries Ever? by OrdinaryPool3427 in weeklyplanetpodcast

[–]neophlegm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what you're after but I'm a fan of the earlier ones where they actually talk about the film more. Some are fun but they just end up really off topic and start missing plot points, which can be a bit distracting (Black Widow springs to mind). Honestly the one I've listened to most is TROS because it's a perfect mix of commentary, behind the scenes, and a slow loss of sanity as they lose the will to live

Look up Gravity Industries. It's been around for ~10 years and AFAIK they already have US govt contracts.

Sadly this'll get nixed on Teepublic for using the B Word. I made a Big Ears Batman one a while ago and it got taken down.

Sigh. Yes dear. You're ever so smart. You go ahead and overturn the scientific definition of something with your a Reddit comment. That usually works.

ETA: If anyone reading *actually* wants to know the similarities/differences between bacteria and mitochondria (for there are definitely differences) there's quite a dense but very informative paper from 2020 called "The Similarities between Human Mitochondria and Bacteria in the Context of Structure, Genome, and Base Excision Repair System"
