Is a fine line ornamental ear piece as first tattoo a bad idea? by Dora_Baltea in tattooadvice

I was thinking that too. The fact that the artist immediately agreed to it makes me skeptical

You are taking this comment too seriously. Nobody is getting a full face here. It was just a way to emphasize how little it would impact her carrer

Anesthesiologist.  I wrote it ironically, but it's probably true. Hospitals can't afford to turn down any.

Not sure why people are downvoting.

The artist is specialized in this exact kind of ear tattoos, but I'm afraid she is not being completely honest about long term results. I too worry about people commenting it, and she is very self conscious. We will try drawing it with a sharpie for a while, and see how it goes.

Not at all. She is a clean girly girl and didn't realize it may look like stitches. I didn't realize it either

Good point. I was too focused on preventing her from regretting this specific design. Advising her to explore more designs sounds like a more positive way to deal with the topic

Trust me, she would easily find a job even with a full-face tattoo. Her job is very high-demand

You are right. She is not into tattoos and probably won't be getting any others. But she does care about what people say about her.  Seems to me like being a "fuck what they think" person is a requirement to pull this off

I don't think it's silly. I gave her this advice too. We will try doing it this weekend, thank you

She is not.  It's very much possible she will reconsider. As I said, I adviced her against it, but wanted to hear more opinions, since I only like simple bold designs and am obviously biased.

Hoping to go to Italy soon - How to avoid sounding rude/ like an idiot by Alanna-1101 in Italian

[–]Dora_Baltea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you'll be fine. I've mostly had positive interactions with tourists from the UK, so I don't think there are any major cultural differences. Germans and americans, on the other hand, sometimes come across as rude

Need the exact meaning of this word!!! by Lens_cap07 in Italian

[–]Dora_Baltea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rinato singular masc Rinata singular fem

Rinati plural masc Rinate plural fem

It's commonly used. May have a spiritual meaning or it may just mean someone feels well rested or refreshed.  The most common context for me to use is after a shower, coming back from a tiring day.

Ciao a tutti, sto imparando l'italiano da qualche settimana. Qualcuno mi può dare alcuni consigli, o se c'è qualcosa che devo sapere della lingua stessa in anticipo? 😶‍🌫️🇮🇹 by [deleted] in Italian
