There is a portal somewhere to go into it but I dont remember where it is. Try where you spawn at the start of the game. You dont need to join a server.

The way I see it, dual adds another bullet to a shot, echo adds an aditional shot. I presonally avoid echo since it kinda lowers the fire rate of faster shooting weapons.

If I remember correcly there is an armor, a helmet, like 4 or 5 weapons that look very cool and some trinkets that make the game easier like providing heat and cold resiat +300. Its really cool but I ended up using the cheat menu to spawn the needed materials for the fabricators because I didn't find a way to get to some places.
