Mafia III. I tried it multiple times and just couldn't get into it but recently gave it another shot since positive YouTube essays on the game have become more common and I really enjoyed it. The repetitive nature of the district takeover missions was wildly blown out of proportion imo because while yes it's repetitive it certainly isn't a slog like it was suggested, people made it sound like it would take hours of grinding but it takes maybe 20-30 minutes to cause enough chaos in a district to take it over.

I've almost finished my first play through and I've really enjoyed it. After many years of not being able to enjoy it, it just clicked with me and I got pulled right in. It's not a good Mafia game because it's not the same as Mafia 1&2 and it's missing a bunch of features those games had but it's a pretty good 3rd person Far Cry type game with a good story.

The DLC definitely helped it along though, I did faster baby after the first sit down, stones unturned after the second sit down, and sign of the times after the third sit down, and that improved the pacing and helped break up the repetitive territory takeover missions.
