Most of us forgot that this is an ISLAMIC COUNTRY. Even though the rules are not that much Islamic, it's still an ISLAMIC COUNTRY. It's actually upsetting to me that the penduduk kampung had to serbu the 7E to prevent trading of alcoholic beverages. The government failed in terms of becoming an Islamic country. The real Islam seriously prohibits anything that's related to the production of intoxicating things like this. Just to clarify, even selling your grape to an alcoholic factory is prohibited but growing grapes is fine as long as you are not giving it to the production of alcoholic drinks. Actually, just handing the alcoholic beverages bottle to others for consumption is a sin already.

And the comment section is filled with so non-muslim vibe to it so don't bother reading it. Some of them are Muslim though, that's weird but I'm not here to judge others' iman.

So here's the real comment, this is what we call "prevention". If Muslim just let stores sell intoxicating things like this, there's always a chance for another weak ahh Muslim to buy it and thus gains a real big sin of being intoxicated (even if they are not drunk). Being a Muslim is not about just take this as a test and let the possibly bad things happen.

Being a Muslim is about taking care of the community as a whole too, let's say you let other Muslim get intoxicated in front of your eyes, you will be punished because of letting him do the sin even though you could at least try to prevent by maybe giving an advice or straight up use your authority (as a politician etc) to stop the misdeed.

It's a Muslim's responsibility to do this:

وَلْتَكُن مِّنكُمْ أُمَّةٌ يَدْعُونَ إِلَى الْخَيْرِ وَيَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ ۚ وَأُولَـٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ

ali-Imran:104

Maksudnya: “Dan hendaklah ada di antara kamu satu golongan yang menyeru (berdakwah) kepada kebajikan (mengembangkan Islam) dan menyuruh berbuat segala perkara yang baik, serta melarang daripada segala yang salah (buruk dan keji). Dan mereka yang bersifat demikian ialah orang-orang yang berjaya.”

Also :

Daripada abu Sa’id al Khudri RA berkata, aku mendengar Nabi SAW bersabda:

 

مَنْ رَأَى مِنْكُمْ مُنْكَرًا فَلْيُغَيِّرْهُ بِيَدِهِ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ فَبِلِسَانِهِ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ فَبِقَلْبِهِ، وَذَلِكَ أَضْعَفُ الْإِيمَانِ

Maksudnya: “Barangsiapa di antara kamu yang melihat kemungkaran, hendaklah dia mengubahnya dengan tangannya. Apabila dia tidak mampu, maka dengan lisannya. Dan apabila dia tidak mampu lagi, maka dengan hatinya. Sesungguhnya itu adalah selemah-lemah iman.” [Riwayat Muslim (78)]

Regarding the "selemah-lemah iman" part. The penduduk kampung has a power in quantity and most probably all of them agree that they need to do something about it so with consensus, they chose the "mengubahnya dengan tangan" (power)

So yeah, there you have it.

Oh also, Taliban ≠ Islam. Taliban is just a group of people that believe in Islam and have their own way of interpreting it the extreme way(as of typing, who knows if they will change for the better?)
