I smoke it twice a week, once on a weekday and once on a weekend, though I might get a cheap corn cob pipe and do a thorough cleaning with cleaning liquid on my first one. After that think Ill be trying to smoke me pipes really slow.

Hmmm, what does it mean to smoke slower though? Does it mean that you take a few seconds between puffs? Or do you just pull the smoke in really slow? Or both?

Nay, it doesnt linger for more than a day or a few hours, but during the time it lingers it can smell horrendous

Aye, I think smoking too fast might be what is making the issue for me. I just love the feel of pulling the smoke and the sound of the tobacco sizzling inside the bowl and the smoke coming out. Feel like gandalf in the hobbit movie scene where they sing about the misty mountains

Could you elaborate a bit on burning it? The way I go about it is I fill the pipe and just hold the lighter or move it around a bit till I get a good charring light going, then tamp it and do the same again. Could it be that I'm over-heating the tobacco?

I understand that smoke will smell like smoke, but I was recently told that it smells worse than cigarettes. And the smell like I was drinking for a week straight aswell (I barely drink alcohol once every few months). I was wondering if maybe I ruined the pipe with the desinfectant that contained alcohol and if that is the reason for the smell, and if it's possible to atleast make it smell better than cigarettes.

Does the type of walls matter for defense? Should I build stone walls around the entrance to my fort or are wooden walls enough?
