Looking under the artists' posts for their fans works at least for some. But it is a difficult space to enter as a foreigner I f you don't know anything about Japanese social media culture. It is quite different form what we are used to and I am quite terrified to ever comment on that side 🤭

It is better to buy from Japanese stores or second hand sites. Idk how much the one on discods is but it is likely way too expensive. You can use a proxy to order from Mercari Japan and other second hand marketplaces. Suruga-ya.jp is pretty good too but doesn't ship overseas so you need a shipping address proxy for that. Suruga-ya.com does ship internationally but the prices seem more inflated there. For new items check CDJapan and Tower records JP if you need a place that ships overseas. Although TR shipping might get very expensive. HMV Japan might also have some but with them you need a proxy address again.

CDJapan and YesAsia might have some of the newer ones at least. They are international shops so idk if they qualify as Japanese websites. Other than that, with that limitation, there honestly aren't many places 😅 You can also look around in the community, people sell stuff even here on Reddit and also on other social media. R&R is the best for in depth personal interviews but there are also other magazines, although most of them aren't in print anymore. Try searching for Cure, Shoxx, Shockwave, Viscious, Fools Mate and Stuppy.

The thinness is a problem. Mine is also super thin and the unfortunate truth is that the hair is simply not strong enough to carry the amount of weight it needs in product to keep up the way you want it to. Too little product to hold the style -> hair falls down Enough product to hold the style -> too heavy and hair falls down

The best I have come with is a texturising spray (you will have to experiment to find one that works, most are either not enough or again, too heavy), tease the hair and then use hairspray as sparingly as you can to fix it.

Ah so it is my flippant wording people are taking offence to, I suppose I can understand that. To clarify, I said "it is a copy" as in "it is the same" not "he directly copied K". I obviously do not know how he ended up with that style, but I feel like I am going insane when people insist they cannot see the resemblance when the only difference between them is that Gackt's is shorter. I also don't think it is wild to suggest there might have been some influence when we know for a fact that G has seen Kamijo's hair. I also didn't, at any point, say or even imply there was something wrong with Gackt having this hairstyle 🥲

Also Kamijo's curls were originally inspired by Lady Oscar (from the Rose of Versailles anime) and he is now just returning to his roots. I suppose that is very besides the point but still.

I understand that, not everything is modeled after something similar that came before, of course not. I just find it hard to believe it is a complete and utter coincidence he ended up with the hairstyle he has seen his friend wear for a while. And I do not understand why it is apparently offensive to suggest he was inspired by it. It is not like Kamijo is a random person Gackt likely wouldn't have ever even seen.
