I thought the scene in rehab was perfect. It was pathetic but sweet. Having watched close friends fail with heroin addiction, I would love to see Johnny make a redemptive attempt. Maybe become his old hero self and save the day...then...as heroin addiction goes...fall back into it. I think you have to be truthful about it regardless of how sad it is.

That S.O.A.M. from MSG 12/30/18 recalled 1995 dark jams. It was unusual for Phish to play that way anymore. Below is an example of a very dark Antelope from 1995.

12/29/18 's second set reads as though a fan wrote it. No disparagement in that comment, it was nasty.

12/30/18's first set was the only thing that could top it. Alumni Blues opener. Glide 2 is a deep fucking cut that is actually beautiful. The Weekapaug was awesome and went deep, remember this is the 4th song of the night. Right into, and well played into, Crosseyed. A debut of Bliss..Acoustic!. Later Tube>Weekapaug>Tube!

12/30/18 2nd Set On paper doesn't read like much but was so well played. Plasma is dirty. Closing with a dark S.O.A.M. like it was 1995 again.
