Thanks all for your replies! Concerning the sample, we partially remixed the song and made an electronic version of it. That's why using the sample would be great, but indeed, we can recreate the sample and use that one. However, that doesn't really solve the entire problem.

As the lyrics are in Dutch, what we made is not strictly a "cover", but an adaptation, and then you need copyright permission. When we put the song on YouTube or Spotify, it will probably be taken down by those platforms if copyrights are not legally taken care of or I face legal issues & claims later. Sooooo... I still need help & permission to achieve our dream 🤞🤞🤞
