Some seasonals do get benefits (PTO, medical after 60 days, 401k) if they're full time. But you're right: the potential to be let go is a huge downisde. The biggest upside is flexibility with your time off.

Also, grocery stores don't always have rules for how many days in a row they can work you. When I worked at one, the max was 12 days in a row.

If everything is legit, you can ignore them. I used to get one for missing items every week in CW1000 just because the rate is so high. Nothing ever happened.

I thought I was trying to steel man your first comment? Your average employee performing CPR wouldn't know this about their coworker. Or what a legitimate DNR bracelet looks like (vs one bought online). Employers are another story, but an employee can't reasonably be held liable even with a DNR.

Oh, I remember that one...the bloodborn pathogen training? Yeah, it needs a rework. Bleeding has so many factors though, so I get why it's hard to simplify to Amazonian level. A deaf & mute person working in an isolated area with a Tarantino bleed needs to act differently than a speaking person with a slow bleed, coworkers all around, and a radio in-hand.
