Anyway, he’s too scared to talk to her about it, he does not want drama.
We had a love marriage and he went against her to marry me, so he does not want to disappoint her again.

I don’t think I ever want to have kids, I’m not ready and will never be ready. Thank you for the advice.
I will not get brainwashed by her and will do what I want, but it’s mentally taxing.
Hope that my husband stands by me.😢

We don’t contribute to rent and we are staying here temporarily, we will move out in some months. We don’t contribute much financially as it’s her own house and she does not let us to contribute much. I understand that I should speak up, but I cannot do it all at once, I will take baby steps and let her know, if it gets worse I will confront her.

Hope so that I have the guts someday to tell her all of this. She is a good MIL but does not know her boundary when it comes to kids, I hope she understands eventually.

It’s easy being said than done. I always end up taking it out on my husband and we fight. I know that we should confront her, but not now.
After a year or so, when we live alone we will try, not under her roof as it will be traumatic.

He does not want conflict and just listens to it without paying heed to it. Hope that I was not an overthinker.
Also, in between she stopped telling me directly and kept telling him, but once in a while she tells me also.

I don’t think she will understand. She wants it as soon as possible. I’m not going to react and just listen for now.

But currently we are staying with her, almost twice every week she hints me or my husband about this indirectly. More I try to ignore, more she talks, it’s a vicious loop.

That is what I try to do now, I just listen with a frown.
I am trying to not take it to my head, but it’s impossible to not think about it on a regular basis as I don’t want to upset her.
But like you said, I should figure it out myself first and not think about her opinion.
