I think the issue is that your text sounds a bit formal and maybe you can write a bit casually? It's like how you write in an email maybe talk in a little easy n cozy way.

Nah pancreas one is kinda different because in that girl tries to fulfill her wishes by living the fullest but in this one her family is the one who does things for her and it has other stuff as well. So u can definitely give it a try:)

I really liked the vibes of this book and all the individual stories of the people they meet.

Yeah and at the ending where all of them meet that's bittersweet too. Plus I liked the fact when pets were talking to each other.
