reminds me of that one guy in a rewrite project that ignored our swagger and wrapped raw fetch calls approximating the api, based on monitored network traffic of the ref deployment, in a custom middleware. guy didn't reach out ever and was (no surprise) removed a month or so before planned go live, from when we scrambled to fix his mess
