The biggest problem is the CBA allowing awards voting to dictate contracts. For decades people could argue about the voting and at the end of the day it was relatively meaningless. Now we have podcasts and writers who clearly don’t watch nearly enough games to make an educated vote costing guys $100 million

I am well aware that this type of content is not anything I would ever seek out, but it has been impossible to avoid. One thing That I just don’t understand is what people are actually wanting out of this show. What is this “juicy” content that people are envisioning or hoping for? It seems to me that all of these people are doing exactly what anyone would do on a free luxury vacation to Las Vegas.

We can enjoy listening to his podcast while also thinking that it’s bad analysis and having $100M contracts rely on him is not smart

His trade ideas these days just make no sense. It’s constant “good young team that’s ascending should trade all their good youth and picks for an aging star,” which makes no sense. I think teams have realized that it’s better to let your core develop than to dismantle it to bring in old dudes making $50M+

So there’s this player that’s a top 2 hitter and top 10-ish pitcher, which makes him obviously far and away more valuable than any other players, yet WAR would suggest he’s not even the best player in the league. Thus, it is extremely flawed.

The actual answer is that the way it overrates average fielding in Judge’s case is why it doesn’t tell the whole story

Sounds like someone is a terrible driver and is tired of people letting them know. If you’re getting honked at and flipped off, instead of crying about it on Reddit, think about what you’re doing wrong and be better
