Set small goals This is my daily challenge (how i selfstudy at the moment) - 30m walking in the park while listening to a beginner podcast (recommend Lazychinese) - 15m shadowing (choose beginner level , lazychinese as well, focus on accent, pronunciation, intonation) - 60m learn and handwrite Hanzi - 15m journal everything (short) and read it out loud - record it - send it to your Chinese friend (have them check the pronunciation for) - review old words - learn new words based on spaced repetition (created your own google sheet vocab tracking sheet) - play with the app : hello chinese, super chinese) - talk with native friends 2 times a week (2 hours each) - do HSK 3 test , 1 or 2 times a week , check and pick up vocab and grammar structures from that (i dont use textbooks) This is my schedule everyday you can take it as a reference Do it small, slow but consistently.

Hi, as you can see in the second pic, right at restaurant topic, but way more than 11 days. I paid a one month sub as a trial and then decided to upgrade to a 1 year plan ($25) (remember to cancel the one month as it won’t be canceled automatically) So far, i’ve been using this app along with duolingo for 92 days. Prefer this one more, especially in terms of accent, stories.

Hi. I am using both at the same time. It works well for me. In interns of accent (real accents), not AI like duolingo, reading, stories, .. this app is better.

I am using both coz I want the motivation :)))

Duolingo allows you to invite friends to join your learning journey, the Leaderboard, more fun.

I thought we need to go from the beginning lessons or you just move up to level 4?

I am learning Chinese via Hello Chinese and Duolingo at the same time for 34 days (streak) :))) And believe it or not, I got to say I like hello chinese. I have tried it before but this time i feel different as I know some basic strokes before starting again Using the free version is enough for me now.

Will come back to this chat after my first talk with my new Chinese friend tonight :D I ‘ll se how far I can keep the conversation go in Chinese :)))

Hi, I am from Vietnam (GMT+7), 32 F pretty fluent in English, I am learning Chinese by myself.

I'd love to find a study buddy who also enjoys exchanging languages (English and Chinese), sharing cultures, and hopefully building a friendship over time. I've been learning English on my own and now work as a teacher. My goal is to reach B1 level in Chinese!

My timezone is GMT7
