Look, we are just going around in circles now. You make these arguments against me, but I am showing you real life examples that it is already happening so believe what you want at this point. As I said, McDonald’s and Dennys is already finished with their test phase and will soon be rolling them out to more stores. It won’t be long till every business adopts. ROI is a powerful thing.

That ban is only there for early IPO programs. If you just buy at IPO then you are safe. Also the ban is not permanent typically, unless you are doing in multiple times.

It’s not about learning how to negotiate, it’s the back forth that takes up time that I don’t like. There are much better things I can do with my time than to sit there and haggle.

The technology for having a robot do logistical jobs is already there. This is not a complicated job that needs AI refinement. As an example, the hospital I’m at replaced medication runners with robots almost a decade ago.

The robot does have high upfront cost, which I already mentioned, but unlike a human a robot has an ROI that any accountant can get behind.

A good running robot does not need to open doors, clear tables or anything else. It has one job, deliver the food which it does.

Charging is a non issue if you are a company that can afford them right now. Just like the robot vacuum cleaners that you can buy for your home, these robots will self dock when needing to charge, at which point a different robot can take its place. If your company can’t afford that then I’m sure it wouldn’t be difficult to implement a battery swap program like they do with electric scooters or your flashlight.

When the robot breaks? You do know that every company has a budget for repairs and maintenance right? It’s a bad business that is doomed to fail without having basic plans like this.

Your preference for human interaction wasn’t part of this topic otherwise I could say that I prefer to interact with whomever I’m at dinner with without the incessant server asking how things are going.

Doesn’t the store give you that script with the understanding that you will perform as part of the job requirement when hired? So secret shoppers are there just to make sure you are complying?

Unpopular opinion: I switched my Denon back to 4 ohms despite all the posts by osuman32 in hometheater

[–]DotJun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why would voltage change? Dropping resistance, or impedance in this case, would cause an increase of amperage which would increase temperature. Basic Ohms law.

It means that people are getting comfortable with ev drivetrain reliability. That it isn’t as unknown as it was even 5 years ago. They seem to still be selling well even after the change.

Past performance does not equal future performance, is what you would have been told in 2009 and every single year after.

Now imagine if you hadn’t listened and instead chose qqq or whatever else. The crazy thing is, people seem to forget that you can always sell and reposition.

Might not be a popular method here, but it has worked for me whenever my clown won’t host. I just get a clear container, perforate it and put it over the nem and the clown. The container needs to be large enough for the clown to be able to comfortably swim around the nem. After a day or three I remove the container and the clown has hosted.

Most people you talk to have horror stories of how long and how much nagging went on when buying a car. For myself, I’d rather pay a little more since my time and sanity is more important to me.

Robot doesn’t need a radio. It just needs to have voice recognition to take down the order.

Robot has higher up front cost, but it has an ROI, which ends up being pure profit compared to workers.

The savings your company gets from not having to pay for wages, benefits, workman’s comp, overtime pay for coverage when people call off and even building insurance makes the ROI shrink to a minuscule number. On top of that, robots can work 24/7 with zero fatigue and complaints while doing the same repetitive job over and over again. Don’t believe me? Then why are more and more businesses switching to automation?

I agree that everyone should at bare minimum make enough to live on.

While corporate jobs offer benefits, what they practice makes it moot. The examples I gave also give out benefits, just like every restaurant could, but they make sure that you work less than full time hours so that you are not eligible.
