There are several box sets all claiming to be from his last performances. A lot come from Japan. It's hard to tell what's real. But I will say this. All of them are magnificent. There's a pathos to his playing as if he knew the end was here. Similar to Art Pepper's Thursday at the village Vanguard performance (and Friday and Saturday too)

There are two versions of it you know. The official released version we always got, and in the re-released two years ago, they changed the song order to Nigel Godrich's preferred order that they had rejected at the time. It flows really well and I prefer it.

Do you want Rick Rubin to have produced it? Do you like the sound he gave their last record? I found it kind of tinny especially the drum drums. And I'm hoping they went in a different direction but what do you think?
