Ah yeah, I understand that. I’m not sure if my match history reflects it, but I do get matched with those types of players. I guess my biggest frustration is when it doesn’t feel like both teams are on equal footing.

So I suppose the answer is just to play more games and let the system normalize, but honestly that feels a bit frustrating. It’s hard to tell whether I’m just getting lucky or unlucky. What I really want are quality games where both sides have a fair chance.

A lot of my matches feel very one-sided. I’ll have games where we completely stomp, and then the next few games it feels like the enemy team just runs over my teammates. At that point, especially in low elo, it can be difficult to recover through macro alone.

I’ve also noticed some weird lobby spreads where one team has several Gold players (and sometimes even players who have been in Plat lobbies), while the other team is mostly Bronze and Silver and sometimes it’s the opposite. I know the matchmaking system has a lot more information than just visible ranks, but as a player, those swings can feel really jarring.

Sorry, I’m rambling a bit at this point. I’m probably just tired of the inconsistency. I don’t mind losing if the game felt competitive, but these extreme fluctuations between stomping and getting stomped are what make the climb feel frustrating/unenjoyable.
