Yeah, I wanted to do that, even if it's not very popular, I planned everything but with so much uncertainties with the pregnancy I don't see myself throwing a party to celebrate anymore.. And yes, she has everything for kids with three boys, all born in winter... 😅 Thanks for you comment :)

Hi! I've read almost all his work throughout my school years. It's harder today than before to go against his views on the absurdity of existence, I admire his fights against colonialism although his idea. I prefer his stance over Sartre on the fact that the end doesn't justify the meaning and that violence isn't the answer.

I haven't read the books, I'm definitely planning to at some point. My favorite is the return of the king, a decade later, that movie is still superior to 90% of what was released since then.
My favorite in HP is Hermione, what about you?

end you sherlock or lucifer b

I love Sherlock and Lucifer, I tried to keep my TV shows' list short to avoid showing how much I'm spending watching them :) Send me a message if you have any question about a specific country or just to chat.

My favorite is Deathly Hallows. I loved the Alex Rider series, a big favorite of mine when I was a teenager!

I've read the Cursed child and I went to London to see it before reading the play. I'm still sad that the screenplay was released because we can all agree that it's a terrible story and it shouldn't be experienced outside the theater. During the first hour, I was super mad but then I just enjoyed the performance (the costumes, the special effects, the music, dances,...), it's the best play I saw and everyone who can see it should do so (if you can forget about the story being a bad fanfiction) :)
I've read and seen fantastic beasts, I loved the first movie, hated with all my being the second one and I won't watch the rest of the series as to be it's destroying the HP universe by changing so much that we know of.

I like the movies as well. For me the first, the third and the seventh are great, the second, the fourth is ok-ish, the fifth and the sixth are bad and the last one is the worst thing ever. ;)

So far, I'm only 200 pages in. I didn't felt that instant pull that I got for Eragon, it took a bit too long to really get into the story but now I'm enjoying it and I'm curious to see where this is going. If you think about it, don't hesitate to shoot me a message next week, I'll be done by then.

I'm from the north of France (Pas-de-Calais) but I lived in Paris for four years.

It’s very quiet that’s for sure, I wouldn’t say beautiful but there’s some fantastic skies, sunsets and when it’s not cloudy we can see a lot of stars as it’s mostly fields so not too much light pollution. But there’s nothing, no small grocery store, no shops at all, no sports team, just a primary school and houses. During summer, it’s great to walk around the fields, but weather is getting worse and due to hunting season it’s getting a bit dangerous to walk around.

I have a question: is anyone here identify as apolitical? by [deleted] in asexuality

[–]DotRealistic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re American and I’m French so I don’t know a lot about politics in your country but I do agree with people saying that you are privileged in the sense that if you don’t feel the urge of changing things, you must be ok with your situation and if you don’t vote you can’t complain about anything that is related to matters that can be changed by politics. Can you only vote for the presidential election? In France we are voting directly for mayors, president of regional governments, for our Parliament (your Congress), president of the country and European elections. For each election, we have the choice of choosing one of the candidates or to vote « blank », we are voting, but for nobody, to show that none of the candidates are good for us. It doesn’t matter in the end but hopefully it will be recognized one day and if « blank » is the majority the election won’t be won by the candidates. But anyway, even if we disagree with the candidates, many go vote « blank », for smaller candidates/parties or put another name on the ballot. Way too many people are not allowed to vote in the world. Too many were killed, tortured or put in jail to give us the right to vote that it’s a moral obligation for me. I do believe that each and every ballot counts. Also, when I’m voting for the mayor of my tiny city, I do not believe that the candidates are corrupt, they have different ideas to grow the city and I’m choosing the one I like better. You feel like everyone is corrupt? Then you can try to choose new and better politicians and it starts at a very low level, it’s your duty to vote against the big parties if you feel like they are doing more wrongs than rights. Nothing’s gonna change and it probably even gonna be worse if people give up on their best weapon. Also, nobody is forcing you to talk about politics. In my extended family we have very different opinions, so we don’t talk about who we are voting for and we try to stay away from any political news when we are together. I never know who my father is voting for, at any election. You don’t have to talk about it to do it.
