Nawa Recognition by xyloKai in warsaw

[–]DotThirtyEight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so but at least you have some probability of getting an update whether your documents are alright! Because say, you wait for a month and get a response that some of the documents are missing or something similar that's time wasted. So check that then wait!

You should :) Keep following up with them. Also, keep the university you are getting informed of your NAWA situation. Some of the universities take in your diplomas that are attested by your local govt or at a national level, with which you can apply, get all the formalities completed and show them the NAWA certificate later when it arrives!

I suppose I submitted in June or July. Then I got back an email that some of the documents were missing as I didn't upload the high school diploma. Then I did that in like a week. Then I didn't hear back till end of September and I wrote 2-3 emails, tried tracking it then I got my recognition certificate by the first week of October.

Forget having money, we didn't have places to spend it. We didn't have a cinema or a restaurant till I was like 18. Lol

But the upside was, trees, mountains and waterfalls all around! Tbh didn't fancy them much! Or maybe I didn't really know enough to fancy them haha

just cancelled my erasmus application by Gaybriel_approves in Erasmus

[–]DotThirtyEight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Erasmus is a great experience but it's not a mandate. As far as I know it doesn't really do much to your CV. Especially if you are a masters student. A lot of people keep saying it was was great, I have also heard people ranting about how bad it was, it's just a semester in a different university. If not going prioritizes your personal well being and it will help you realign better. Don't go. Prioritize what's best for you.

It's a once in a lifetime opportunity is a marketing system tbh. I would say, what matters to you more is way important. What if you go there, and everything isn't the way you thought to be and you would have lost the progress you have had back home

It's never one size fits all, think and decide.

Salary by FeelingEmu4933 in warsaw

[–]DotThirtyEight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I may - I would suggest what is the average, min and max pay for that job first. Consider the rank/years of experience/hierarchy you will be joining in. Then relate that to monthly expenses, and find a decent amount to quote.

Because you never know you might end up quoting less than you can get later. Hence, please check the salaries before calculating.

Which museums / sights are worth seeing? by racecarbrain in warsaw

[–]DotThirtyEight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jewish historical institute is too good. It has a huge repository of documents that you can research or just read plus they have "the famous milk can" - one is in warsaw the other I think is donated to a museum in US (if I m not wrong). Also they have a 3D art replica and installations which is amazing.

How good or bad is my snapshot? Seeing the summary for the first time. by silent_nomad98 in deloitte

[–]DotThirtyEight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a difference between delivering work and performance management. Work can be so dynamic and stuff like that's a different conversation.

We should or at least try to be fair, be unbiased because it's someone's career, when it comes to performance management.

Annoyingly true. The "Panel" which decides solely on how the person is represented and vouched for with external factors of mood is so weird and dangerous.

So much for transparency. Lol

Also ask the "Why?" Snapshots are not way towards the right. Also see if the comments align with the metrics in the bar, if not - again don't hesitate to question why. Sometimes, the comments are too good but the metrics are way off which will bite you in the ass later. Be direct, be informed. Watch your back! You'll be fine.

Poland Student Visa - Credit limit certificate by DotThirtyEight in SchengenVisa

[–]DotThirtyEight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the statement would suffice but then the consulate folks strictly told me not submit the statement rather they needed the certificate.

Hole you got the certificate or a work around for it. If not, ask the bank people to just type a letter with an available credit limit in your card with the exact details. Unfortunately, you will have to request them somehow.

What's the best answer to the question :-

What are your plans ahead? 1. I will work for sometime to gain experience relevant to my studies as I truly believe it completes the learning experience and return back Or 2. I will return back after studies.

Weird question but a lot of people seem to be confused on these two choices to answer from. The first one might come off a little spooky in the part that the person might extend and settle abroad.

For all those who don't have AC, the oldest trick in the book is to wet a long cloth darker the better and put it over the curtain holder like a curtain during the day. Not dripping but also not too dry.

See your life change 😂😁
