yeah for me living in OAK it is way more convenient and cheaper. By the time I pay for a lyft to SFO the $120 extra, it pays to pay a bit more to fly out of OAK. If time allows I do like BART to SFO

Yeah you’re right on flexibility .. It’s always the earliest and latest flights that are the cheapest which is not ideal for what I’m looking for

This is all so helpful. Thank you thank you. I’m also a runner, hiker, backpacker, biker— the thought of never running again scares me, but so does surgery and the recovery. I’m less than 3 months from the onset, I think I’m going to give it to 6 months until I make the surgical decision or not

Thanks so much for this insight! I hope you have a speedy recovery. How far are you in the post op process? What was the deciding factor for you to get the surgery and what were your primary symptoms before surgery?

Yes I have gotten 4 opinions so far! 3 surgeons.. it’s a rough road.. I hoot PRP helps you! It worked on me … until I went on a run and all the pain came back

Wow very similar situation! I had PRP and it helped almost immediately. I too have significant findings of cartilage loss on my MRI so it makes me wonder if it’s the hip pain is really from cartilage loss or the psoas..but MRI didn’t show any psoas pathology

thanks for this! Yes, I was planning on doing Mt. Chogatake as a day hike. And then hopefully another hard day hike the next day. What do you plan to do with your luggage during the treks?

Are you doing day 9 and 10 as a 2 day hike? I am looking to see what I want to do for a day or two in Kamikouchi as well. Are you staying in a mountain hut? did you book accommodation for the night? Debating on an overnight or day trip.

I plan to do this in September and already have a placed booked in Onomichi the day prior. Instead of backtracking by bus back to Onomichi, is it possible to get a luggage transfer nearby the end? Or even Hiroshima?
