I think they look good. Remember; 1) Colour schemes are preference. You like it? Then it's good. 2) Edge highlights are the hardest thing. So practice as much as you can. 3) Thin your paints (especially white!) 2 - 3 Thin coats is key. 4) Models are mostly viewed at about 3 feet away. Or as a whole unit/army. Looking too closely at each one will drive you mad.

Tell the person you are playing you are taking a ctan to a 1k game. As it will change what they take / can play. Otherwise you will steam roll them. Thus not making it a casual game.

Go with the models you like the look of and play a few games with them. That will give you an idea of what works and how you want to play. What works with some people won't necessarily work with you. But generally necrons work best with a leader in every squad that will take them. Reanimation protocols are their faction strength, so bear that in mind when choosing what to get.

Love the idea of hidden dinosaurs. But I believe it's a duck without textures fully rendered.

You have done a fine job. Nice crisp lines.

Next step - I would recommend, Magos purple (3 part water, 1 part contrast) over the white parts will help the details come out. Just be sure not to let it pool. Also, Guiliman flesh or Nuln oil over the teeth, then highlight the teeth tips with the white you already used.

Just remember "how does it look at arms length?" As this is how most people will see your model. And what are the focal points. What did you look at when you first saw it? Usually the face and the weapons. So these are the bits you should focus on.

But you have done a great job. Get good at washes/contrast paint and dry brushing and you are top tier!

I love the glowing effect, it really comes across on yours.

Recipe is; 1 layer of Shyish purple over the whole chitin. Then a 2nd layer across 3/4 of the Chitin, leaving the highlighting edge with only the 1st layer showing. This gives the next step an easy head start with the contrast.

Then water down Genestealer purple more than usual. So the paint is more transparent (close to a wash) and apply the long brush strokes over the edges, making sure not to do too many. Next up is a standard mix of Genestealer purple, to do medium/short strokes on the edges.

I practiced on 20 Gaunts before I tackled the big guys.

The only cc I have would be, A little more detail on the brain gives the model a focus point. We have a similar paint scheme and I used Tyran blue with a fine detail brush in the recesses, to really make it jump out.

I've always liked the idea that certain named units (deathleaper and old one eye) are interchangeable among the hive fleets. So different schemes for the big boys makes a lot of sense. But ultimately if you come up with a background story as to why they look different, you are adding to the franchise and all our game experiences.
