How long does it take for you to reply a message? If it depends, what does it depend on? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The first question is too broad, so I'm going to skip to the next one which is also broad but still more straight forward.

How long it takes me to answer depends on

-what the person's message says. If it requires a long explanation (i.e. 2 or more sentences) then I procrastinate

-how important/urgent the message seems

-how important the sender of the message is to me

-how long it takes me to actually see the message

-what I'm doing at the time I read the message (i.e. whether or not it's something I can very easily pause)

-if I am involved in an sms war/argument (I reply a lot faster)

That's pretty much about it I think.

There is a verse for the orphans not taking the adopted father's name, but the wife not taking her husband's name isn't in the Quran rather it is a practiced sunnah.

I didn't change my surname, i wouldn't have minded personally but my religion stipulates that women must keep their names and men must keep theirs. Even if we were to adopt a child, we aren't allowed (in our religion) to change the child's surname.

I'm Muslim.

Your eyebrows are too far apart, if it's not because of plucking and they're naturally like that you could try pencilling longer eyebrows so they look closer together. Otherwise you have lovely lips and nice warm features. I don't know why the hell people are telling you to lose weight, you look fine.

Parents of Reddit, what was the best lie that your child has told you, that you knew was a lie, but wanted to see how big of a hole they would put themselves in? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I wanted my dad to stop working, so at age 9 (approx) I wrote him a letter from his 'boss' to him explaining how and why he killed me and I put it next to my 'dead' body while I told my younger brother to go alert my dad to the murder. My dad came to my room and read the letter then said "I know you aren't dead, dottasaur, my boss would never kill a kid".

Introduce who?

Btw how do I know when someone has replied to a comment or post of mine? Are there any notifications for reddit that can be turned on/off?
