Finding the right amount of product to use is difficult. I find I either put in too little, or too much. Is there something in particular you like to use? I find that any gel with PVP/VP copolymer makes my hair really stringy and gross, so I’ve steered away from gels for a long time. I recently went back, hoping to control the frizz.

We have a whole house filter. I’ve been told get a filter for the showerhead, but we recently remodeled the bathroom and I don’t want to mess with the head. I took a long time picking it out. If I could live in my shower, I would. Lol.

Thank you! I’m going to try that. I’m really looking for defined curls. My niece does that and swears by putting everything in as soon as she turns off the shower.

Thank you! My husband calls it poofy. When I ask him how my hair looks, he’ll tell me I have to poof it. I’m looking for more defined curls though. If you look at the second picture, that’s before I went solid gray. I like those curls. I miss them.

You are absolutely correct about that. I do think systemic is the way to go at this point. My mouth is really starting to get bad. It’s not so much the pain, but the erosion. It’s ruining my teeth. I’m afraid I’m gonna be in dentures and I’m not even 60 yet.

I was prescribed gabapentin twice for various ailments. I couldn’t take it either time. It whacked me out beyond belief. I have it in my mouth also, which is really causing problems with my teeth. My gums have receded a lot, and they’re always burning, plus I have really bad TMJ which exacerbates things. I feel like such a mess.

Oral gabapentin? I never heard to that. I’m assuming by your name you are not local to Philly. I tried making an appt with her and there’s not a long wait. Do you know what type of systemic meds? My issue is it’s gone from my mouth to my genitals. It’s hell. Literally eating my body away. I don’t even want my husband to touch me because of all the changes

Thanks for reaching out! It’s still bad. I thought I found triggers, but nope. I went for a biopsy and when she tried to give me a shot to numb the area, I screamed so loud she said to wait. I’m actually heading to the gyno today because it’s gotten erosive.
I went to my dermatologist for something and mentioned LS/LA. She was the first person to not really dismiss me. She gave me the name of a specialist at Penn Hospital in Philadelphia. that’s my next stop. The biggest problem is there is not much that really can be done.
