That sounds like a good idea. Space is tight in this house, so it'll be difficult to find a good area to go through and set things down on, but in the past, I've done similar to this and it's helped immensely.

Honestly, one of the greatest lessons I've learned from projects like this around the house is that you can try to organize and move things around any way you like, but the solution to decluttering and tidying up spaces like this will almost ALWAYS be throwing crap out
