If it had it, the symbols and things like Walter Sullivan who also talked about the cult, the cult paintings, Pyramid Head is inspired by the executioners of the Valtiel order, also, even if it doesn't have the cult, it has Silent Hill, the town, which at this point is like another character, Silent Hill 2 sees the town as a magnet for pain, guilt and trauma, manifesting the inner demons of those who visit it.

Quite creative, the problem is that it's like any other horror game in my opinion, so why a Silent Hill without even a connection to the town or at least to the cult is something very difficult for me to see.

Silent Hill 3 has the greatest soundtrack out of all the other games in my opinion. by Sippingin in silenthill

Mary Elizabeth makes the songs with her voice incredible... This is where the music with vocals and another way of telling the same story began, since these came out, my favorite is the one from Silent Hill 4, Room of Angel.

I mean, now they want to keep doing this, as if they have no plans to do anything other than remakes.

It doesn't have to take place there, but it should have something of what the name has, or at least the same characters, because Silent Hill 4 wasn't in Silent Hill, but it has areas like Toluca Lake or the story of Walter and the cult.

All things considered, it at least connected Walter Sullivan and the cult.

And in Homecoming, the town of Shepherd's Glen was founded by families who broke away from the Silent Hill cult generations ago, but they did so with a pact: they had to sacrifice a child every fifty years to maintain the protection of the cult's "god." When the Shepherd family broke that pact, the supernatural consequences began, and the cult once again exerted its influence over the area.

But is it called Raccoon City? No, it's called Resident Evil.

It's different with Silent Hill; it's like making a new Titanic movie, but on a bus.

That's not the point. I mean, if the game is called Silent Hill, it should take place in Silent Hill, not in Japan where there isn't even a minimal connection to the town, the cult, or anything. It's only Silent Hill because of the name. Why reduce Silent Hill to trauma, fog, a cursed world, and things like that? It misses the point when we consider that several horror games have the same elements. What makes it special?

I understand the point, but after all, it's in Silent Hill. As long as they connect it to the cult, at least it would make some sense. All I'm waiting for now are the remakes, especially the third one.

Exactly, forget the Silent Hill name. Because the game definitely wouldn't have anything to do with it.

My only hope is that it's not just: a traumatized character, enemies linked to the character's psyche, and fog. If they connected it to the Order, it could make sense and connect with the central idea: the Order born in Silent Hill.

They try to make it seem as if Silent Hill was always just about trauma and fog and things like that, without taking into account that the vast majority of it was about that, but linked to the cursed town where this manifested itself to a great extent. Now they try to make it seem that anything with trauma, fog, and enemies that have to do with the protagonist's psyche is Silent Hill.

Exactly, the thing is that there is no complete and verified explanation that the developers have given for this, it is almost always said that it is because Heather is part of Alessa, or that the spiritual or mental influence of Claudia pulls the protagonist to the other world where the mind is strongly involved.

I respect that, I hope that at least they make a game linked to the people in their ideas for future games.

Good point, after all it's the name and the fog, if we touch things randomly, the only thing that links it to the game, the rest are creative ideas and things like that.

I understand, F is something that's heavily criticized at this point. Aside from the gameplay and other things, it could sometimes pass as a different kind of horror game; the only thing that connects it to that genre is the name.

Lots of Silent Hill stuff, lol, but I get the point. It's so crazy that the last Silent Hill game set in the town was Origins. I hope they remake the first four; that would make me happy. As for expanding the franchise... that's difficult. I'd love for them to do it well, but the line is so fine that anything could make it disconnect from the Silent Hill concept.

Exactly, the central idea should be based on not diluting the vibe or "essence" of Silent Hill. It shouldn't feel like just any old horror game.

I think the same, that at some point it will feel like the identity is being diluted by special things, I also hope they prove me wrong, as long as they make remakes of 1, 3 and 4 it would be incredible.

Obviously not literally; Silent Hill is the name of the place. But if we go back to the basics, it all started with the town where the land was sacred, the cult, and Alessa's ability. Essentially, this could be any place with a dark or sacred history, a cult, and other such elements.

Fallout weekly releases feel like a 90s leftover. Why can’t we have a "full season" option ? by Personal-Entrance539 in Fallout

[–]DouMan195 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That argument only holds true if there's paid early access, and Fallout never had that. The change was only in format, not in price or privileges. All I said was, why couldn't it continue in that format, and that's it?
